Postby khazalid on Fri Oct 18, 2013 2:05 pm

those little bastards are the best feckin pets i ever had.

nothing loves like a rat. will the christian god spend five minutes grooming your finger? no way. laudate ratticus!

so, this christmas: buy a pet rat.

thank you.

*edit: you need to buy at least two, otherwise your poor solitary rat will die from lack of rat-cuddles

They are against the law here. You are supposed to have a permit for them and they only issue permits to labs. I don't know what the penalties are for having one.

The Nova Scotia governments plan on increasing revenue is to tax them. And if that fails we will use them to extort Alberta.

I rant about it. One of the main policies is to keep Nova Scotia economically depressed so we don't lose our aid. Fucking government here only knows how to slop the pork and keep the homelessness high.

Back on topic, rats are actually far more trainable and loving than cats. They are closer to dogs in that way. Obviously they get a bad rep, but domesticated rats are one of the greatest pets around. Pity my wife heavily vetos them :(

I used to have two pet rats, both females. A gorgeous silver blue and an albino. They used to love licking everyone's lips and if you had some dead flaky skin they would take care of that too!

The only down side to owning rats is their lifespan, just 2-3 years, 4 if you're really lucky.

No, but I've read Steinbeck.

BTW, any good gift ideas for a 2 year old boy?

I'm thinking Thomas to go trains. The to go ones have plastic tracks and are less expensive than the wood stuff.

Wife said, "Hotwheels, crayons for the bath tub, duplo, Thomas and a fruit basket. Little boys like both real and fake fruit."

I'm guessing if you have not fed him enough fruit, that might not be completely true. Our kids like veggies too but that's partially because she used to blend veggies to make baby food instead of buying the store bought stuff.

Feel free to encourage your neighbours to vote for a unified Maritimes. As for getting any of our hard begged alms, you must show:

1. Lack of need,
2. An intent to be ungrateful.

Just a heads up. I believe Hot Wheels are recommended for age 3 or 4+. The wheels can be pulled off and ingested.

Theodore the Tugboat stuff for the tub as Theo is based in Halifax and he has probably seen him.
