Did "an" stop being a word?

The iPad does not seem to want to write an before words. Keeps changing it to an a.

I've told many people "Go" in game chat instead of "GL".

I can assure you as a Kiwi who thinks our accent is shit that the oceanic alternative to "tuh" is waaaay worse.

(theres something about the way aussie woman say "to" that penetrates the brain and instantly triggers a headache)
