Week 14
Loss - Texans @ Jaguars - If the Texans have the first pick, is a new QB in their future?
Win - Colts @ Bengals - This is proof that it's difficult to pick games this year.
Win - Falcons @ Packers - Don't know if Rodgers is playing, but shouldn't matter.
Win - Browns @ Patriots - Poor Browns
Loss -Raiders @ Jets
Loss - Lions @ Eagles - I think the Lions offense is going to break the Eagles defense. I'll be at the game.
Loss - Dolphins @ Steelers
Win - Bills @ Buccaneers - I guess Schiano is fighting for his job.
Win - Chiefs @ Redskins - Chiefs get right this week. It's crazy that the Redskins first round pick goes to the Rams.
Win - Vikings @ Ravens
Win - Titans @ Broncos
Win - Rams @ Cardinals
Win - Giants @ Chargers
Win - Seahawks @ 49ers - Upset special?
Win - Panthers @ Saints - Saints are awesome at home.
Loss - Cowboys @ Bears - It is December though.

Week 14 - 11-5
Overall - 83-41

Week 15 (excluded Denver-SD because the Broncos already scored... shocker)

Bills @ Jaguars - Jaguars
Bears @ Browns - Browns
Texans @ Colts - Colts
Patriots @ Dolphins - Dolphins
Eagles @ Vikings - Vikings
Seahawks @ Giants - Seahawks
49ers @ Buccs - Buccs
Redskins @ Falcons - Falcons
Jets @ Panthers - Panthers
Chiefs @ Raiders - Chiefs

Sorry I didn't get a list up this week in time. I already added San Diego-Denver though, so I will just update Monday night. Minnesota is going to upset Philly.

Without Peterson I suppose the Vikings can focus better
on other aspects of their offense?

Who knew Asiata was better than AD?

Also, thank Buddha for the Dolphins.

This week was pretty lame though. No really good matchups, though the Pats/Dolphins one wasn't bad and Lions/Ravens should be good.

The headline though is 100% Romo. My favorite line was after the Broncos game, when Tony Kornheiser called him a Shakespearean tragedy. Good looking, married to a hot wife, making a lot of money, starting QB on the Cowboys, plays pretty well...and then implodes.

Romo gets the headline but it's still a team loss... too many field goals and not enough second half adjustments. I picked the Packers solely because the Cowboy defense has to wear name tags just to know who's who and more injuries left them with no linebackers by the end of this game. They'll have to sign a few new players again this week just to have a full roster by Sunday.

Another weird weekend of games; the Rams beat the Saints, Vikings beat the Eagles and the Steelers put a slobberknocker on the Bengals in the first half and hang on for the win. Top three seeds in the AFC all lose while Seattle moves closer to securing homefield for the playoffs.

Tonight's game is big for both the Lions and Ravens with their Divisions still up for grabs.

Listening/reading to Dallas-Green Bay and Philadelphia-Minnesota stuff today, I'm amazed at how many people don't apparently watch the games.

All I heard or read about Dallas-GB (other than at grantland.com) was that Romo imploded. I watched that game and both INTs were outstanding plays by the GB defense (especially the last interception). Further, and more importantly, the Dallas defense was horrendous. It gave up that many points in essentially one half to a third string QB at best and a rookie RB.

All I heard or read about Philadelphia-Minnesota was that Chip Kelly is still getting used to the NFL and that the short kick-offs killed the Eagles. Again, I watched that game and the Philadelphia defensive secondary was horrendous. Cassel had wide open receivers. And Philadelphia's pass rush was non-existant. It was really a defensive collapse, not anything more than that.

And now we have two teams heading for a showdown in Dallas. Should be interesting. I suspect Philadelphia loses to Chicago and Dallas beats Washington.

i totally called that min game.... i am thinking a good RB is a detriment to a team with poor passing.

I know Cassel is a good quarterback and I was still surprised the Vikings abused the Eagles with both of their bigtime running backs out. I agree with everything greekdog said though, I watched both those games too.

The collapse of the Dallas defense was no shocker --injuries have drastically altered their lineup every game-- and they have to wear name tags in team meetings. The Cowboys will sign more new faces this week before traveling to DC to face the Skins, since they lost all their starting linebackers again in yesterday's game.

I did tire of Joe Buck (or whoever it was in the booth) saying repeatedly, "Why aren't the Cowboys running the ball?" Packers lined up nine in the box for nearly the entire second half to stop the run and mostly played man coverage on receivers. Dallas never adjusted to take full advantage --as Green Bay defense pressured Romo in the pocket-- beyond the one TD drive. I did think the Cowboys had a big enough lead to hang on for the win, even after kicking all those red zone field goals.

Boring game, I spent more time watching 24/7: red wings and leafs for the second time than I did the football game. I am glad the lions lost, gives me hope for a green bay Super Bowl.

Haha. I watched the end of the Leafs/Pens game, and then the 24/7, and then the last quarter of MNF. The part I watched wasn't boring.

show

The Colts have clinched a playoff spot. I predict them getting eliminated in their first game, pretty much no matter who their opponent is. My power rankings would make the ideal playoff picture:
NFC
1st - seahawks (very likely this will be the case)
2nd - 49ers (obviously impossible)
3rd - Panthers
4th - Saints (once again impossible)
5th - Rams (they are not making the playoffs at all this year; if they didn't have to face 49ers and seahawks twice, and instead were in the NFC East, they might have had a better chance; still a good, if tough to predict, team)
6th - Cowboys

AFC
1st - Broncos (By no means a secure position for them)
2nd - Chiefs (once again, impossible)
3rd - Bengals
4th - Patriots
5th - Dolphins (a position they may be in)
6th - Chargers

I would have the playoffs be 4 NFC West teams plus Panthers/saints if I could; it would certainly be interesting.

The only major discrepancy between the way i do things and the way the NFL does things is that i would put the Rams in the playoffs since they are statistically a good team and keep the Colts out because they are not. I do have a piece of evidence though.

I don't see the seahawks or 49ers getting worse over the next few years. This may be the most squandered talent (on the Rams) over the next few years. They can't win the SuperBowl if they can't make the playoffs due to having 4 long-shot games every year for the next few years. Chargers are in a similar predicament, but Peyton is almost as old as Colin and Russel combined, so they have brighter days ahead.

Broncos@Texans - put your house and your friends houses on a Denver win.

Ravens will beat NE.

49ers is another house bet.

Cards to shock Seattle

Bears@Eagles - both teams to lose.

Bengals should be strong enough.

Dolphins as well but i wouldn't be surprised if they choke, they won't make the playoffs.

Saints - just.

Chiefs - Colts are poor.

Pity the Giants can't make it, have to pick the Lions. Next season Eli will be back in the playoffs though.
