Okay, but the Bible also says:
Mark 11:12-14 wrote:The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, āMay no one ever eat fruit from you again.ā And his disciples heard him say it.
So apparently, Fig Newtons are a sin. Who knew? But I think the real message here is that if you do see the tree sprouting leaves ("signs"), and then you find that there is no fruit (Jesus does not return), then you should never eat that fruit again (abandon religion and never look back). Thus saith the Lord!
Also... Jesus lived in that area his whole life, and he was the son of God, right? But he didn't even know when figs were in season? And then he blames the tree? You're sure this is the guy you want to be following? I guess it's a good thing he was a carpenter, and not a farmer. But couldn't one of his disciples have told him that there wouldn't be any fruit before he schlepped his ass all the way over there? Sounds like he surrounded himself with a bunch of yes-men who were slaves to group-think, and too kowtowed by the whole "son of God" thing to tell him that he was going on a "fruitless" search for something that wasn't there. I think there's a lesson to be learned in there somewhere.

That's why in my opening post I listed some fulfilled prophecies that prior generations couldn't claim. Yet still I admit, Christ could arrive from 7 years from now to many decades from now, but I'm convinced He is Near. But you'll never read me proclaim a date. And yes the fig tree is figurative language for Israel. <> regarding Jesus is already here: He dwells within all believers, but His physical return to judge and reign from Jerusalem is near. Gweeedo didn't accuse me of not being a believer, nice try. It's simply that every knee will bow before Jesus, some in adoration (believers), most in humiliation (non-believers). So believers are commanded to proclaim the good news of Jesus and teach of the signs of His coming.
I'm glad you seem to have some sense of humor about this. I was just kidding about the Gweeedo thing, anyway.

I guess I misinterpreted your earlier statements that "There are many signs and fulfilled prophecies indicating we are near" and "He is within 7 years" to mean that 7 years was your prediction. Are you now saying that some of the signs have yet to appear? I don't have any solid data on this, but I imagine that everyone who makes a prediction about Jesus returning in the near future also claims that they have new information that prior generations did not. Though a lot of your signs seem to be getting a bit stale. And how, exactly, did you come about this list of signs? Are these actually from the Bible, or are you just spending too much time at bible prophecy sites?
BTW, I find no mention of hyperinflation in the Bible. Which version should I be searching in?
