LMAO! --->

He doesn't sound very Ukrainian. He's American, as is the other new board member, Devon Archer.

Who? Devon Archer, who works with Hunter Biden at Rosemont Seneca partners, which is half owned by Rosemont Capital, a private equity firm founded by Archer and Christopher Heinz.

Who?
Christopher Heinz … John Kerry's stepson.

What's this I heard about Blackwater guys hitting the ground in Ukraine? Are some of Putin's goons about to start being sent home in body bags?

Earlier in this thread Saxi said the West's "sanctions" were PR fluff that would be quietly rolled-back after a few months, or not implemented at all; that they were just bravado to whip the local yokels into a flag-waving fervor. And, of course, Saxi is proven right again ...

Canada broke with the United States and did not impose sanctions on two key allies of Russian President Vladimir Putin because the pair had Canadian business interests, according to sources familiar with the matter. Canada has not moved against Sergei Chemezov, who heads state-owned industrial and defense conglomerate Rostec, and Igor Sechin, CEO of oil giant Rosneft. Both men, who are close to Putin, have business ties to Canada.

Rosneft owns some 30 percent of a Canadian oil field, while Rostec has an aircraft assembly joint venture lined up with Bombardier Inc. The venture is vital to the Canadian plane and train maker, as the fate of a roughly $3.4 billion aircraft sale deal is tied to it.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/05/ ... me=topNews

IOW - the only people the west is sanctioning are people who have Zero business interests in the west to begin with, and - therefore - can't be hurt by said sanctions. The west is so hilariously impotent it hurts. It's like a little dog yapping - all bark, no bite.

Unless Blackwater has significantly improved since Fallujah '04, probably not. Maybe Kiev is planning to use them to guard the Bolivian consulate or something to free-up regular troops.

Or maybe Chinese are afraid of Blackwater...

The Ukrainian crisis is not about democracy... its all about money. How?
Currently average military budget of EU country is around 2% of its GDP. It makes sense since there was no immediate threat to EU. Now with the Ukrainian crisis military budget on most EU countries is expected to be increased to 4% of GDP and most of the weapons will come from US manufacturers.
That's US goal with Ukrainian crisis... basically milking EU, in order to boost US growth :) Ironically but most of EU politicians are not smart enough or bribed a lot... or both.
But there is new smart player around :)

You two are not very smart if you think that business doesn't require peace and stability :)
Tho 200$ gas price instead of 400$ help a lot also ;)

Interesting but it looks like Russia will ban GPS for life starting from June.

What alternative? Russia's powerful elite and Putin will brutally repress any dissent in that country. Now there's a backlash in Ukraine against these pro-Russian thugs.

Putin is more popular in Ukraine then any Ukrainian politician, including those puppets nominated by the west.

And the basis of this claim is ... :?:

I'd find it difficult to believe, maybe, in Crimea. In the West of Ukraine he is an invader, in the East he is letting them down by non-invading...

I was on a big Russian party recently (V-Day Party it was). There were quite a few Ukrainians as well as Russians but I observed an inverse proportionality law.
People from the East of Ukraine would refuse even to talk about it. Then the further away the people were from the epicentre, the more willing they were to talk and the stronger
views they held. Essentially, only blokes from Vladivostok really "knew" how to sort the crisis out and whom to blame :)

I came here to post an article:

GoranZ is correct on that front, Putin has always polled higher than any Ukrainian politician for many years now. Basically since he decided to be evil and support a puppet PM and wag his cock in the very definition of democracy.

US DOES NOT HAVE LIQUIDIFICATION PLANTS TO TRANSPORT NATURAL GAS TO EUROPE.

Russia will continue supplying gas to Europe. Russia can not afford to play this dangerous game.

Yep. Russia diverting their gas to China, meaning Europeans will now be paying triple for American gas ... from U.S. natural gas companies the friends and relatives of the people responsible for directing U.S. foreign policy coincidentally all have board seats on (Apache, ExxonMobil and Chevron). Yahoo Finance shows shares in CVX, APA and XOM are all surging since the Russia-China gas deal was announced this morning.

Kuthoer must be fucking Jon Huntsman's sister or something. Hoping to grab his slice of the pie. That's the only explanation. Cuz ain't nobody that dumb.

And not to mention that Russia and China also agreed to bilateral trade without using the US dollar. That they will trade using their own currencies directly. Yet another blow to the dollar's world reserve currency status, which is much more troubling to the US than the EU freezing to death next winter.

You know, Saxi, why it is that we can leverage EU nations so much as to basically turning them into puppet states while not being able to sway Russia?
Because, it's much, much harder to leverage someone who doesn't have a whole bunch of debt.

That's why the petrodollar is so important to the US, it's the real basis for our power over other nations. Other nations have to acquire US dollars to conduct trade, and the US is the only nation legally allowed to print US dollars. All trade roads lead through the US, but China has been working diligently and fairly quietly building bypasses.
This bodes ill for the US but luckily, most of us can be distracted by BS so we don't see it coming. And this Ukraine crisis is BS.

There is a much bigger game being played than most people understand.

Russian currency is in decline and depend on western know how to keep their oil/gas production from declining.

China has all sorts of problems with corruption and keeping their populace in line.

Russian and Chinese trade pacts have no effect on the world market. Russia is in decline and their military is a joke, unless you happened to be one of their neighbors. Putin is using nationalism to stay in power and it won't be long when their people will tire of Putin and his failed economic policies.

Goranz accused you of watching CNN for news. He was obviously being generous. Your view of current events is clearly based on reruns of 24.

This is so out-of-touch with reality it doesn't require a response. No one, even the U.S. government, is saying utterly uninformed silliness like "Russia ... depend on western know how to keep their gas production ..." You're clearly picking up a word or two here and there from action movies you saw and then crapping out a Red White & Blue cherry for this shit cake.

Russia is a mess, who the heck wants to emigrate there, except for North Koreans.

Russia's population is aging, drunk and out of touch with REAL NEWS, as Putin and his kleptocrats keep the news media under their thumb.

Russians will one day wake up from their drunken stupor and nab Putin and hang his corpse in the Red Square.
