I did and it was not as scary as they always say it is in documentaries.

If they said it wasn't, it would take away from the drama and lose some of the audience.

A lot depends on the size.

Define the context.

I have seen, swam with plenty of innocuous sharks.. nurse sharks, whale sharks and various others that just were not hungry at the time.

On the other hand, there are real shark attacks. Not as many as often suggested, though.

Most people swim "around" sharks in the ocean without realizing it, because they don't come near enough to be seen. I used to work with turtle "spotters", they reported seeing sharks swimming among and between bathers on the beaches of Florida all the time.
But, actual attacks were rare.

Well, i didnt have a long time to inspect the behaviour of him at all, but it was one not real big and mostly shy.
Just made circles around, mostly didnt show intrest on me, was like seeking something spesific around. Didnt show any aggression on me and also didnt show much sign that it was scared from me or irritated by me.

Well, i believe it was a peaceful one then count myself to be lucky cos of encountering such a peaceful animal rather than a predator soul.
I know, shark family is big one and there are some real dangerous, powerful yet curious members of this family to which only exprienced and well educated folks should dare to share same waters.

About the fact you state it there are sharks swimming around beaches, not coming super close to the shores but yes they are right there say 300 400 yards away passing through, well, some say they know why, everyone has an opinion or guess why they pass through and dont aim on ppl, well, to me it is unknown. One can claim many reasonable explanation about many behavior for many species... One may say it is just passing by and not looking for food, other may say since sharks does never sleep, never stay put, but all the times they move, since it is a part of sea, shore or deep water, it is just randomness of nature, it is just there when you are in the water, no need to dig into it to see anything special, and many more to explain. But sayin it again, to me, it is full of mystery, i dont think we know much more than what we see the top of iceberg...

Predator class members of sharks, well maybe a wrong definition, cos i believe all of em are predators, but from human perspective, we call em predators which usually or rarely aim on human, these predators are programmed ? or given best equipment to walk over seals, sea lions and such sea mammals, fatty, big in size comperatively, and full of calories... Rest, those which we call em to be peaceful, actually they are not but they dont aim on us, then, they are equipped to attack on smaller ones, other fish, whatever.

Sea mammals are amphibious creatures, should be why we have great whites, one of the most powerful predators we have got over the world, come so close to shores, they come behind sea mammals is sometimes the place where we play in the sea. Doesnt need to be precise same place since these predators may make great distances daily following signals they recieve using their excptional sensors.

Personally, i hate showing myself as a target to a shark since i dont have methods to negotiate with a shark telling him i m not a food he is looking for. If only i had such a way :D
