So a guy whose parents moved from Nigeria to France in 1990 can potentially be considered French?

if he speaks well enough yeah. When I say well enough, I mean that he really has no accent and uses commonly used 2014 expressions. If anything swiss/canadian/belgian comes out of his mouth you take his passport back!

We're not better than everyone else, we're just not worse than everyone else, which has been mister FYR of macedonia's point for the past week.

blah blah blah. An ancient greek from thessalonica, from sparta or from heraclion obviously spoke different greek dialects and didn't understand each other. As I said earlier, ancient macedonian was a greek/barbarian dialect.
It's pretty pathetic that Alexander the great is the only think you desperately try to identify yourself and cocitizens with to try to exist somewhere in history.
But if it makes you happy: I'm sure you are a direct decendent of alexander the great, and after 2 and a half milleniums you have inherited of all his qualities. We all wish we were lucky enough to be from FRY of macedonia, the place to be! Everybody knows that! A land that is a few miles away from where stuff happened over 2 milleniums ago.
