I have to go for the Call because I can something resembling logic in the commercial (ok, not good logic, more like crazy troll logic, but logic).

But that call..."waste a play" ...the defense lined up in Goal Line (which nobody could see comming since you are basically ON the goal line ](*,) )..."if it scores good if not we have two more trys" :-s [-o< ](*,) ](*,) And the worst thing is that this is great team with a good coach. WTF were they on!?

OK im with you they should have just ground it out.
But that was a solid pass on a pretty well ran route(and a mismatch) and basically some random luck that it turned into a turnover.
I mean butler himself looked suprised he caught it.

The only active thread in Conquer Club about the Super Bowl (on-field action, anyway) was started by a Croatian.

Meanwhile, American men are all busy talking about whether Katy Perry dissed Taylor Swift during the halftime show.

The world belongs to Croatia.

So, Katy was dissing Taylor with some homosexuals in shark suits?

Evidently many didn't see this moment and wondered why Seattle got a 15 yard penalty after their touchdown. Very classy.

It was a great play, but the obvious play. Trying to surprise the other team in a short pass makes sense, but throwing a ball that can be picked in an easily telegraphed route makes no sense. If youre gonna try to catch them off guard and pass it, make it a route to the outside where only your guy can get it.

Or have Wilson roll out to one side, flood receivers to that side or do the same pick play that New England ran 200 times successfully in the game. That gives Wilson the option to throw, to run, or to throw the ball out of bounds without getting an intentional grounding call.

For what it's worth, I bet the play they ran works more often than it doesn't.

Well it was the most Croatian Super Bowl ever, since both coaches have Croatian roots. We had to pay attention to this one! :) (though most of my countrymen didn't)

For that to happen a great generation of players would have to coincide with the national team being coached by a good AND experienced coach. The last time that happened was 1998. when Ciro Blazevic gathered togather the best players, pumped them up and then just unleashed them on the opponents. Also, we haven't had an elite left back since the time of Robert Jarni.

Well, THOSE times didn't really matter. It was CLUTCH time, and it failed in one of the worse ways possible (only ways it would have been worse would be if the CB had knelt in the endzone to bring it out 20 yards or taken it all the way for a pick 6). Basically, it failed in the one moment where it was needed to work the most.

Even though I don't really care for either team much, the fact that they didn't try the read option pass still boggles my mind when it had worked for them so well all season.
"Eh, whatever."
