Never updated on Dawnguard. Heh. :P

My understanding is ES:O is on a downward trend. Coming to console will help, but once an MMO goes F2P there's really no turning back.

I still have yet to play the older ES games. I could get hold of Oblivion if I tried, but I have other stuff on my plate at this point. My Dad still plays the shit out of Skyrim though. The Madre bought him his own Xbox and it's still all he plays on it.

I played all 3(as well as daggerfall) and morrowind was my favorite to date.
Its lacking some bells and whistles(shouts,2 handed combat, aerial enemies that fly vs float) but the story and setting are just so classic and badass, and the core gameplay has not changed at all.
That said oblivion and skyrim are certainly excellent games and at the price you could likely get them for it would be well worth it,although im unsure whats HKs used game market is like.

Well, it's pretty much all that I am playing at the moment (PC wise). I use my PS3 basically for watching YouTube, Netflix, and buying/watching movies on Vudu. I just got this PC rig a few months ago and its the first time I have really been able to play games without slowing my PC down (I had an old out dated Gateway from 2001...I think it was outdated when I purchased it in 2005 or 2006). Currently, I have WoW Draenor expansion and Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars has cool looking graphics, but something about it is just lame. WoW has its moments, but I have to pay seventy bucks every six months? That's incredibly expensive! No wonder why they are a ten billion dollar a year business!

Skyrim is more my style. I like the lone adventures and the leveling up. I get use to the corny NPCs that bounce around and get in your way and float in the air and hop over a mountain.

Too bad their online didn't pan out. Some things need to be left alone...WoW needs to be careful it doesn't try to do too much with its current versions, otherwise its customer base will drop off.

I don't agree with the high price for membership though.

Now that I have a rig that can handle it, I think I'm going to dust off my copy of Morrowind and install the Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics mod. I've been wanting to try this out for a long time. Plus, I think it will reinvigorate my love of the game. Skyrim is getting boring for me now. Time to go back to the classic.

Skyrim is my first. I was an Elder Scroll Virgin until then; however, I do have the entire collection waiting to be played (as soon as I am finished with--or sick of--Skyrim).

When you get to Morrowind, you will probably need mods. I see it recommended often that at least your first game should be without mods, so that at least you know what the mods are actually changing, but I highly recommend at least the morrowind code patch and the unofficial morrowind patch, just to get rid of the numerous bugs that plague vanilla morrowind. You could also probably safely use some of the texture packs. The Sound & Overhaul would do nicely, as far as updating graphics while leaving gameplay unaffected goes.

Have fun man! They're all great games. But Morrowind really was the pinnacle of the series. Amazing story, setting, atmosphere, characters, etc. The combat can be boring, but there are mods to sort of fix that if it bothers you too much. They do require third party programs to run though, at least some of them do. Either way, definitely worth it to experience Morrowind.

Somebody sent me this link to recommend me mods.

I still haven't try to install mods, as it looks like a bit complicating and I don't want to screw the game up, although the vanilla version UI is getting annoying. Any recommendations to install MODS in Skyrim? how and which ones?

Steam is the easiest (provided that's where you got Skyrim), as you press the "Subscribe" button for the mod you want, and it's installed that easily.

The other big mod place is Nexus. It's a bit more complex, as you install the mod manager, but the manager will keep the mods in the order you need them to be 99 out of 100 times. And the mods on nexus are more in depth, bigger, and more immersive. There are tutorials for it (and it is free, despite whatever you may have heard).

For mods, well for one, I recommend some face mods, as let's face it, a lot of people in Skyrim are pretty damn ugly.

Next would be CBBE body mod, as it adjusts the body more to your preferences.

Now for the big ones. SKSE and SkyUI. SKSE requires you to download it manually, but first you need SkyUI. SkyUI makes the menu system better and allows for easier use of immersive mods. SKSE allows for other mods that go in and add stuff not normally in the game. There are tutorials to install.

Another one, which is practically a must, is the lock pick mod, where it shows the area where you need to unlock the thing your lockpicking. Why is it a must? Well, on the console version, the controller will vibrate when lockpicking, giving you a good idea of where the lockpick needs to be. You don't get that on the PC.

Some good follower mods are include Sofia, who is rude, crude, and pretty funny. Vilja, who has quite a large personal quest, and a few others.

A good hair mod is Apachii Sky Hair, giving you a ton more hair designs to work with.

There are also race mods, with some of the most popular being the Epic Elves mod and the Temptress Race mods.

Weapon mods, well, some are only a single weapon, some add weapons to every smithing level (iron, steel, elven, etc).

Armor mods are similar, and what I recommend is just going through the mods lists and see what you like.

I have a controller that vibrates for PC. Is this not normal?

A lot of people play with the "WASD" and mouse on PC.

For World of Warcraft I do, but for Skyrim I plug in a PC Xbox controller. Only thing that bugs me is that there is a wire that gets a little bit in the way when you are playing, but otherwise than that, I like it.

I like the "Interesting NPCs" mod...also liked Falskaar and Wyrmstooth...also I installed all the Unofficial Patches.

I use the program BOSS to organize my mods...

Thanks man!

I think SkiUI is a must and the Sofia follower looks interesting. I think I will take a look to the ¡video tutorials, although it is a scottish guy which explain tooooo long every step.

@TheProwler Thanks for the poointers also. I will take also a look to BOSS to see if its worth the learning curve.
