I don't know the actual numbers of survivalists who actually have underground shelters (apart from those who inherited their shelters from the old "duck and cover" cold way days) but I suspect that it is a small percentage of the survivalist community. The large majority are generally using bug out bags so they can leave at a moment's notice. Underground bunkers is the exact opposite of the "Mad Max" mentality. Max was the one always on the move, if you recall.

Well a lot of good that was when the Spanish Armada invaded.

Then again, the Maginot Line was also a French invention and equally pathetic.

well he needed fucking gas!!!!!! :D that idiot didn't go for a fuel efficient car either, that motherfucker probably sucked 30L/100km. He just had to kill 10 times more enemies that if he had just been drivin a freakin prius. Stupid mel gibson. Didn't they make a mad max 4 recently by the way? Is he still not driving a prius?

Hate to break it to you, but gas is still the densest energy storage device for small scale vehicle operations.

(Unless you are using a large aircraft carrier or a submarine, it's just not cost effective to go nuclear.)

I drive a Prius, but it still uses GAS. When all hell breaks loose you need ARMOR and that is frigging heavy.

I'm pretty sure that everything Max Max drive was way better in fuel efficiency than your average tank.

"A tank like the M1 Abrams gets about .6 mpg, and a cargo vehicle like the M-1070 semi-trailer (designed to haul tanks) gets approximately 1.2 mpg."

where exactly did you understand that I said he wouldn't need gas with a prius?

and the interceptor's armor wouldn't really save you from much if you ain't drivin like max...

by the way... mad max 2 was by far the best of the series.

Now this is genuinely crazy.

Governor of Texas deploys Texas military to monitor U.S. military ...

Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the Texas Guard to monitor federal military exercises in Texas after some citizens have lit up the Internet saying the maneuvers are actually the prelude to martial law. Called Jade Helm 15, the exercise is one of the largest training operations done by the military in response to what it calls the evolving nature of warfare. About 1,200 special operations personnel will be involved and move covertly among the public. They will use military equipment to travel between seven Southwestern states from Texas to California.

On Monday, command spokesman Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria attended a Bastrop County Commissioners Court meeting to answer community questions and was met with hostile fire. Lastoria, in response to some of the questions from the 150 who attended, sought to dispel fears that foreign fighters from the Islamic State were being brought in or that Texans’ guns would be confiscated, according to a report in the Austin American-Statesman.

Radio host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has been sending out warnings for weeks regarding the exercise, saying it is the U.S. military positioning itself to take over the states and declare martial law.

“To address concerns of Texas citizens and ensure that Texas communities remain safe, secure and informed about military procedures occurring in their vicinity, I am directing the Texas State Guard to monitor Operation Jade Helm 15,” Abbott wrote in his letter to the commander of the Texas Guard.

Betiko, what would you do if your chateau were besieged by a 2-meter maneating alligator and you didn't have a baby to throw at it for distraction? I always keep at least 3 babies in my house for situations like this.

Megan and Daniel Benton of Sarasota, Florida got quite a surprise when their dog alerted them to an intruder last night. Shortly after midnight on April 29th, the family was awoken by the dog growling at something at the front door. The Bentons found a 7 foot alligator inches away from the dog looking through their window.

Its about time the government starts monitoring the government. The Jade Helm exercise is to see if the military can assimilate into the community without being noticed. Having locals help conceal the military on their property. This will help with future military operations in foreign countries. I'm pretty sure Jade Helm has described Texas and Utah as hostile states. Guns can be confiscated under a national emergency. Like they did during Katrina.

The trick is to not open the door when knocks. Too many people open their door when an aligator shows up. Also, i would throw a baguette at him. I heard it s bad for their digestion.
