Anyways, here are my forecasts all the way:

A australia wales
B south africa scotland
C NZ argentina
D Ireland France

Q1 SA vs Wales
Q2 NZ vs France
Q3 Ireland vs Argentina
Q4 Australia vs Scotland

SF1 SA vs France
SF2 Ireland vs Australia

Final SA vs Australia

Winner Australia

I'm failing to see the US in these predictions...

Probably because they don't believe we'll make it that far

Dream on Betsy.

Well, as far as I remember, 99' france beats NZ in semi finals, 07' france beats NZ in quarter finals, 11' france loses by 1 point vs NZ

Yeah, except it's not the 1999 squad that's being fielded, it's the 2015 side which struggled to beat Scotland at the 6 Nations earlier this year.

when we beat them in 07 we were not looking good either, in 11 we lost 2 games in qualifying stage yet went all the way to the final, held in NZ and playing the all blacks in said final... where they beat us by 1 point with a lot of luck. Just look at the history of france in world cups, argentina has always been our nemesis while we've been the all black's nemesis.

regarding the US: I'm really not sure you guys could qualify winning both your games left.

France break away, they're advancing on the Canadian line, the bald guy kicks it forwards... oh! It bounces one meter off the line, straight up into the chest of another French player... who fumbles it over his shoulder and drops it, allowing a Canadian player to ground the ball inside the Canadian try area.

Hilariously poor from France. 10-0 to France at the moment. My prediction - 23-10 to Canada.

Ok well 3 tries for us in the first half, one more to go and we get our bonus point.
I don t really get how we managed to let canada score twice... Playing too relaxed

You are assuming that I consider England to be 'my nation'. Indeed, you're assuming that I'm even a British national :D

Anyways, if England were playing Canada they'd already be winning 49-0 by now.

Yeah, that second try should never have been able to happen. French defenders just standing around watching the ball cross the line.

England will beat Australia, thrash Uruguay, progress through to the knock-outs and make it to at least the semis, probably the final.

France will limp out of Group D into a quarter final against New Zealand, where they will be annihilated.

END OF DISCUSSION.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what I think will happen.

USA is certain not to move on mate!
Last game for them will be vs japan who still has a small chance. It sucks cause they have 2v1d, just like south africa and scotland but the will get fucked in terms of bonus points.
I wish japan makes it... I don t think any second tier nation has ever been this close.
The 2019 world cup will be in japan... Interesting.

Fiji and Samoa have reached the quarters before, but Japan getting through would be a way bigger event no doubt.

Really wish they would, but it seems unlikely. Their biggest chance is Scotland (who are borderline Tier 2 these days) fucking up their last match, but I won't hold my breath.
