So what, the world doesn't hate us because of who is elected president. And if the rest of the world hates us, why would there be any reason to give a single fk if they laugh at us???

The world respects Obama? HAHAHA. Show an example by sharing a short list of 'the world' that respects Obama the most. Based on the rest of your post, I'll pass on your predictions how Obama will go down in our history.

Actually, I have talked to several foreigners with whom I regularly interact. Most of them seem to have a great deal of respect for Obama.

oh? And why is it they have a great deal of respect for Obama? btw, I was and should have stated more clearly I was looking for a short list of world leaders or public figures or groups etc.

Plenty of people say the same thing about Obama, ya know.

Plenty of people say that about every single candidate that they don't like, because everyone thinks nobody could be smarter than them and if they don't make the same decision then they are pretty stupid :D

Those are probably a large portion of the same people who state publicly they will leave the country if so-n-so is elected, but then don't... Hey, if your level of intolerance is at 'i'm gonna leave the country!' then good riddance ye might as well stop wasting time and do it now. Just share with us which country you are fleeing to

Fair enough.

They respect him for his policies, and/or for sticking to them, even if they don't like his policies. I don't remember all the particulars of those conversations beyond those points.

He is respected for trying to bring America into the 21st century with his medical coverage even though it is a portion of what he planned.

He is respected for having to deal with sniveling lying tea potters.

He is respected for not starting any wars during his almost 8 years.

He is respected for recovering the US economy.

Gee, those are some pretty big achievements.

Detroit Lake is still damn near dry....Thanks Obama.

In my humble opinion, he's pretty damn far from well respected (Obama that is). Of the FOUR people I know that voted for him (1 is a retirement age CFO of a large construction company and 1 is a boomer age CIO of a large tech co....not ALL my friends are rednecks  ), they would change their votes based on hindsight....not that this means anything....just sayin.

Squatty, I also enjoy Trump just for the size of his cajones in talking to reporters, competitors, haters and lovers...he is a crack up. Everyone Poo-poo'ed Jesse Ventura back in '99...turns out he did what I believe was a damn fine job, although he is a bit of a conspiracy theorist...lol.

Then there's Arnie....and Ronnie Baby was an actor early on.....who knows.....

What a tremendous amount of self-control he has shown by not starting any wars.

I mean, he participated in the 2011 invasion if Libya's sovereign integrity, provided significant amounts of material and political support for a civil war in Syria, and has vastly expanded America's program of drone massacre in various Muslim nations, but he did do very well by not starting any full-blown wars and eating all his vegetables at dinner when Grandma was visiting. Our little boy is growing up so fast!

The US has built back a good image towards its western counterparts with Obama's presidency after the catastrophical 8 years of W. Bush. Another retarded f*ck. Then you have some decent republican candidates such as McCain, but they have to put a retarded f*ck in his campaign (Palin) to make sure all the retards amercia has will still vote for him.

Here's a short list. It may not correspond exactly to "respect", but I bet it comes pretty close.

Here's more of a world view:

You obviously can't please everyone, but I think it's pretty fair to say that "the world" respects Obama.

The first vote I ever cast was for Ventura, and it remains to be the most meaningful vote I have ever cast.

I SHOCKED THE WORLD!

Tri-partisanship turned out to work quite well in many cases. At first Jesse would side with Republicans on an issue, then he'd side with Democrats on another issue, back n forth it went until later on the Republicans and Democrats began to team up against him which confirmed to me that it was the real deal and we really did make a difference and we had a say for once. Basically, the same thing that is happening to the Tea Party. Similar in another way, the Republican and Democrat spent over 20 million dollars to be elected governor (a job that paid less than 150k) and Jesse whooped them with $300,000.

KoolBak wins the silver medal in the TRUMP event along with a special bonus prize

Ventura detailing a secret meeting the CIA 'invited' him to in the basement of the state capital and his experience in Cuba

I remember everyone zombie repeating how voting for a third party candidate was a wasted vote. The moment I knew I was voting for him was very Trumpesque as well. Someone asked the candidates what their plan was for the wolf population, which of course was perhaps the most minor issue comparatively. The Republican gave a long response full of details on what he would do with a promise that he would save the wolves and if the Democrat won all the wolves would die. The Democrat scoffed and gave a different and even longer convoluted response along with a promise he would be the wolf messiah and if the Republican won then all the wolves would die. Jesse Ventura then said 'honestly, I don't know... but I will look into it and have a detailed proposal by the end of the week for ya' I also remember the night of the election a bunch of young men qwho might have been doing a wee bit o drinkin flexin DX crotch chops lulz

for one, many think it's a plus that he has never been elected to office. But like Trump said, he's been in politics all his life, just one the other side of it as the person who gives money to the politician who always has a whole bunch of experience and the politician grants him special favors, waivers, tax breaks and cupcakes.

And per our Western counterparts, I think it's common knowledge at least on this side of the pond that far more important than image.... our allies have stopped supporting us. Perhaps Obama buying the Queen an i-pod for her birthday backfired?

I'm sorry... what kind of support was giving france when george W bush was president? With the fake weapons of mass destructiongate.
Also, you clearly see on degaston's graph that french are the biggest Obama-worshippers on earth. Maybe that's what makes him unpopular in the US. Like Kerry that was judged too "french"

So Trump's been involved in corruption and bribery all his life, and now he just wants to cut out the middle-man?
Donald Trump’s tax plan is great for Donald Trump
Trump’s tax plan would save his family billions
At least it's efficient.

You mean, for some unknown reason, our allies don't like it when we topple the governments of oil-rich countries, and try to install Halliburton-friendly administrations, causing widespread death and destruction, and inevitably leading to further destabilization of the middle-east and increased terrorism? The nerve of them! And you think this is Obama's fault?

But it's not just our allies that have stopped supporting these actions...

It does seem that Republicans live on some other dimension where facts do not count. But honestly, it has more to do with their base, feed them red meat and hate.

What mystifies me is that this same base votes against their own pocket books in every election.
