Dihydrogen monoxide, at room temperature or below, will make your penis shrivel up like a stack of dimes.

Not to mention that it kills hundreds of thousands of people every year, is a major component of acid rain, and can be found in your tap water at home.

Uh, that's basically the theory behind most of medicine. Also, you ingest chemicals everyday simply to support your body. You could say, bernie, that you're a big chemical bag full of more chemicals.

Yes, unless you want your testosterone to aromatize into estrogen it is necessary to take an estrogen blocker. If you don't you get gynecomastia and since you work out to look better, why would you want that?

Oh I see, introduce more chemicals into the environment for our greater good.

Yes, we need to spend more money on education.

I don't know, do you try to dam off a river at its source or do you redirect it to areas of drought?

Would try to use drought resistant crops, instead of water intensive farming. Try not to grow lush green lawns in desert regions. That would be a good start.

Redirecting water or using dams causes other problems for the environment.

In March 2015, I voted against a 2015 budget amendment that would have prohibited placing limits on exercising water rights as a condition for using or developing public lands. Notably, this would make drought crises, such as those in California, much worse by prohibiting setting limits on the usage of water. A couple months later, I spoke out against drilling in the Chukchi Sea, which the Department of Interior estimated could have a 75 percent of a large oil spill.

WOW. Just wow.

You know nothing about what you are talking about. Drought resistant crops are quite often crops that have been pumped full of chemicals, so goes agaisnt your other comments in this thread. You are correct that redirecting water or dams causes problems to the environment, however you are incorrect that these are not managable. Issues in the past are all due to insufficient consideration of the effect on the ground water flow on habitats and water resources. These are now well understood.

As for what I am doing here, I am trying my best not to just spout crap without thinking it through. Is it really an issue that twenty five hedge fund managers earn more than 425,000 teachers? Is the real issue not that the contribution to the economy via taxes and other means of the 25 hedge fund managers is not equal to that of the 425k teachers combined? To suggest that puting a salary cap on individuals who give a contribution to the economy far in excess of the average would in anyway benefit the country is outright ridiculous. To adjust their contribution to economy is sensible.

So to sum up, your post makes you stand out as ignorant. My post has thought.

Drought resistant crops is definitely one way. Since most "green" grass is far from drought resistant I agree that they should not be used (they are also generally not indigenous to the area but fortunately not invasive).

But the question of dam / redirect is a complex balance. As Spock would say, the needs of they many outweigh the needs of the few (or the delta smelt). California would have enough water to maintain drought resistant crops had it now thrown away its water supply for the smelt. GOVERNMENT POLICIES are as much of the problem as that of Industry.

And wouldn't it be a hoot if the only way yo get good DRO is through GMO?

For the previous poster who just commented, I'm only slightly kidding here. Organic farming actually increases the drought resistance of crops.

You should read my posts instead of trying to add your perceived perceptions on what I actually posted. Salary caps, really, is that what I posted? Your name calling is showing us your lack of education to debate. We can blame either your parent's lack of discipline or bad schooling. Rather not blame your parents as both probably had to work hard to keep food on the table and clothes on your back.

I think we'll call this a debate when you offer some content. I'm truly sorry, but with your lack of content I inserted some for you, if this doesnt align with your ideas then please feel free to actually give content to your rhetoric.

However, its nice to see that you value rhetoric over actual solutions. Now would my bad schooling be a result of the low paid 425k teachers or are you yet again marching off topic to insult the other party in an attempt to win the debate you are scared of actually commiting to?

If your intention was to give Bernie Sanders a good name you have failed. Now please do him a favour and close this account, and have the courage to be yourself rather than a rather mundane and ill-thought through persona.

In a field as competitive and zero-sum as finance, the contribution to the economy of the top twenty-five hedge fund managers is not represented by their salary. At most, in a perfect market where salary is directly commensurate with economic value, their contribution is the marginal benefit they provide over the next twenty-five hedge fund managers.

I have taken step to reduce my consumption of dihydrogen monoxide. I find that at a small extra cost, I can buy mixtures where some of the dihydrogen monoxide has been replaced by ethanol, a much less dangerous substance with some similar properties.

WingCmdr Ginkapo, May I call you Gink? Well Gink, why do you think I don't want a discussion? Not sure why you post such silly things? But, when I do try to discuss a subject, it followed by silly name calling or that I'm not responding to nonsense. Sort of like your last post.

This thread pointed out possible side effects on people/embryo development. But like usual with this forum, the subject changes.
