Yes. Our socialist party, does what socialist parties do best, wishful unrealistic daydreaming. They got rid of nuclear energy and somehow thought Saint-Nicholas would magically provide them new alternatives...
Nevertheless, I fail to see your point. Even still Belgium is far ahead of the US regarding environmental issues, despite our much smaller options.
And how is it so surprising our energy consumption has risen since 1990? Our population has grown by more than 10% since then.
