Why did Canada send the antique CF-18s to Syria in the first place? Were they planning on starting an aviation museum there?

According to this fatwa "article" from the American Family Association (whose board of directors includes U.S. presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and which was recently designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center), Canada has now been cursed by God for electing Trudeau and all Canadians will burn in hellfire for eternity ... bet all you Canadians feel like royal jackasses now, huh?
