*Smax rag*
With all this pandemic and socialized ery-thang, wouldn't Grandpa Bernie come in handy right now?
That is to say, change the incentives of the economy to favor the benefit of the herd as opposed to the stock holders or lining the CEO's pocket with million dollar bonuses
Would G Bernie be a help in ensuring the government has the tools to best create and distribute what we need absent of profit margins or what is best for keeping this unhelpful Frankenstein-ian, business as usual during the usual
Wouldn't it be beneficial for Batman to answer the call of the obvious Batsignal in the sky?

Batman is a “1 Percenter” so he’d be opposed to these ideas and Bernie.

You mean to tell me that Bruce Wayne is a 5%?jimboston wrote:Batman is a “1 Percenter” so he’d be opposed to these ideas and Bernie.
That would be a very specific Batman in a specific universe, dummy
Bat-fact has determined this was a lie

Re: *Smax rag*
All versions of Batman put Bruce Wayne in the 1%.
Even if you find some weird ‘Elseworld” version where Bruce Wayne is not rich it’s moot.
The point is made.
You’re still an idiot.

So it is Bruce Wayne you're talking about
I was speaking about Batman
Bernie Sanders has a net worth of $2.5 million, he voted Democrat and wanted to be more socialist which means giving away his money to the people
Now, what were you saying?

Bernie Sanders is not Batman/Bruce Wayne
Batman/Bruce Wayne is a Capitalist
He fights crime, not poverty.
I’m typing is simple sentences hoping you can keep up.

Re: *Smax rag*
You do realize Batman/Bruce Wayne is a fictional character. Right?
..and so when you say “15 people have been Batman” if you’re talking about Adam West, Micheal Keaton, Ben Affleck, etc.you know these people are also pretending to be Bruce Wayne too... Right?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman#Others
“Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne“
In normal DC Continuity the only other person to assume the role of Batman was Dick Grayson, and only for a short period of time; when Bruce Wayne was presumed dead. Dick Grayson is also a ‘One Percenter’ being heir to B.W.
Outside normal DC Continuity there are a couple others I know of...
*In “Batman Beyond” a kid, Terry McGinnis, assumes the role of a new Batman under the guidance of Bruce Wayne.
*In the Flashpoint series, Batman was Thomas Wayne... Bruce’s father. This was an alternate universe, not mainstream continuity.
In the “Batman Inc.” storyline many people assumed crime fighter identities similitude Batman, but no one called themselves Batman.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_Incorporated
Please tell me who the other 12-13 people are who assumed the role of Batman.
This is how it’s play out if you actually could meet Batman...

No idea what you're actually arguing about here, but Jim you forgot Azrael and the whole "Battle for the Cowl" thing.

This appears to another of wmw's inane ramblings with little worthwhile thought or insight.
This seems to be another thread to advance the "king's" agenda of provoking a response and annoying some.
I think I have put more thought into this thread than wmw has in two weeks in all his posts.

I don’t know why I bother.jonesthecurl wrote:No idea what you're actually arguing about here, but Jim you forgot Azrael and the whole "Battle for the Cowl" thing.
His implication that Batman would somehow be all-for socialism hit a nerve.
Yeah... I missed that storyline. I didn’t read it, but guess it was a short lived thing (less than 6 months?)... and Dick won, right?
I’m sure there are a few other one-offs... like Alfred probably wore it so people could see Bruce Wayne and Batman together... and there was a story by John Byrne called “The Many Deaths of Batman”. we’re people dressed as Batman were getting killed. Of course those were not people trying to “be” Batman just someone dressing as him.
Like I said, those one-off stories don’t change the fact that Bruce Wayne is Batman.

Re: *Smax rag*
The Azrael thing was way back in issue 500 or so where Bruce's back was broken. The Battle for the Cowl was about 10 years ago when Bruce was dead, I have to admit that was about the point at which I got fed up with DC and Marvel comics repeatedly rebooting the entire universe, bringing back dead characters, etc, and I pretty much stopped reading them. I think Jason Todd reappeared again, dunno who else.

Re: *Smax rag*
I don’t read monthly comics anymore... but will pick up a trade or several after a run if it’s got good reviews.
Some years later, for example... I just read the Punisher under the Max imprint from 2004 written by Garth Ennis.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Punis ... 04_series)
Pretty good. I just read the first ten trades written by Garth. I usually pick these up on eBay used, read them... sometimes I keep them sometimes just read and resell (so my net out-of-pocket costs are often just shipping and fees). Depending on your library (library system) you can sometimes get them from the library too. In my area the libraries in each town are part of a network that spans essentially the entire area of Southeastern Massachusetts, and you can borrow a book (or other media) from any library in that network.
I also read more recent stuff... I heard “The Immortal Hulk” was a good storyline and just got the first six trades of eBay for $10 each including shipping.
The cover price is $15.99 new... which is about what you’d pay for the comics new. So even if you keep it’s like 30% off... if I resell back on eBay I might be out $10 or at most $15 when you factor in fees or taxes... so I’m reading for $10-$15 something you’d pay nearly $100 for if you bout has new comics.

Maybe if Bernie give his 2.5 million net worth back to the people we can finally solve this National Debt issue and get back to even?
GTFOH with this garbage.

(US national debt - 24,724,183,000,000, it changes by more than Bernie's net worth every 20 seconds)

Are you gonna provide a definition for that nonexistent word?
... and you try to insult other people’s intelligence.
Oh, I get it... you can make up a word, and we’re just too dumb to understand.

I bolded it when you used this made-up word earlier.
I seriously fear for any person you may be responsible for ‘raising’.

Oh, your current Webster's dictionary lacks words...which means they lack meaning...which means they aren't used cuz they're not real.... Hmm
Unsupremic is a word I took from unsupremacy which is used in the math world
You see, *takes a knee* words are simply utterances that we make when referring to something. This is the basis of linguistics. Furthermore, humans engage in vernacular which then turns into a word in your updated Webster's dicktionary which you'll have to wait for your mother to come into
Ok? Ok.
Good talk

Words only have meaning when a sufficient number of people ‘agree’ to their meaning.
If you make up a word, and no one else recognizes it... that doesn’t make you smart. It makes you an idiot, because words only have value if your audience understands your meaning.
Sometimes a person can make up a word, like ‘ginormous’... and it works because people can under the meaning without having ever heard the word.
Sometimes a person can make up a word... and use it in context in such a manner that it works.... because the. context will help the listener understand the word.
Your “word” did neither.
Supremacy is a word... unsupremacy probably doesn’t itself qualify, though at least it’s been used before.
Your bastardization of a pseudo word could have value if it was used in proper context.
In context and manner you tried to use it... it fails.
It makes your already clunky run-on sentence sound even worse and make even less sense.
