Why did you answer his question posed in 2021 in the 2020 thread on the SAME topic?
Also, you could have done the saxi thing: change the title of the thread and call it Happy Birthday to a Random General, to try to mislead and confuse people.
it was not until 1824 that a Constitution was adopted that actually freed them. Even so, it was not until 1829 that the last slaves were freed. Slavery did survive in the part of Mexico that is now Texas.

------Well Jp4fun....Jimmy B was being a nit picking Smart ASS...So I showed the year earlier thread...when I was saying the same thing this year...He never lost to Union forces he went to Mexico...Yes, when I was rewriting ,I left out...after the War....But when never lost to Union forces, it is implied that he wasn't a coward running, but a HERO, whether after the War or not!!!...I brought up this thread...so he could see "after the War"... nothing but a nit picker......ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion)...
Now I am glad I write things over and over...for reference...In case of smart asses!!!
