Why the Democrats are Doomed

Postby saxitoxin on Sun Jun 18, 2023 4:45 pm

They've staked the entire future of their party on intersectionalism.

There is no core, natural affinity between men who fantasize about being women, women who are actually women, people in wheelchairs, Spanish-speaking farmers from rural Guatemala, and Muslims. Eventually these coalitions all collapse into infighting. This is the natural order of things. The Rats have a political vision staked on overcoming nature itself.

Case Study 1

A Detroit-area community has banned LGBTQ+ flags from publicly owned flagpoles after a tense hourslong meeting that raised questions about discrimination, religion and the city’s reputation for welcoming newcomers. Some members of the all-Muslim council said the pride flag clashes with the beliefs of some members of their faith.

“There’s a sense of betrayal,” said the former Hamtramck mayor Karen Majewski, who is Polish American. “We supported you when you were threatened, and now our rights are threatened, and you’re the one doing the threatening.”

We don't have to win on ideas, we just have to wait for them to rip themselves apart and then Hoover up the pieces.

Asian American voters are increasingly shifting towards the Republican Party, a recent study by the New York Times has found. The influential demographic, which has historically leaned heavily toward the left, began leaning towards conservative candidates in the 2020 and 2022 elections.

Most Latinos voted for Democrats in last week’s elections. But Republican support among Hispanic voters has grown by 10 points since 2018, continuing a dozen-year trend of America’s largest ethnic minority group drifting in a more politically conservative direction.

In a rundown of Election 2022 held this evening, leaders with the Native American Caucus of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) expressed concern about new polling data that finds Native voters are increasingly voting for Republicans.

This shift toward the right among the young voters who propelled Mr. Obama to victory 15 years ago is part of a larger pattern: Over the last decade, almost every cohort of voters under 50 has shifted toward the right, based on an analysis of thousands of survey interviews archived at the Roper Center.

I heard something about Chinese in the US often tending towards Trump over Biden/Clinton because quite a lot of them are there due to reasons that make them inclined to not like the Chinese government, and they therefore just throw in with whichever politicians are acting toughest towards the Chinese government. Like that blind lawyer who Obama gave asylum to and who then immediately jumped on stage advocating for Trump lol.

Same for Cubans who've moved to the US. And the same is presumably also true for a lot of people from all over the world who've moved to the US in order to get away from a government in their home country.

So ironically, the Dems pushing to open up US borders and take in refugees is basically pouring Republican voters into the country.

There is also the fact that most countries are more socially conservative than the blue hair brigade, another reason why open borders is presumably filling the US up with socially conservative, anti-abortion, anti-gay etc Republican voters.

I saw a survey in the UK asking people if they'd accept their child being gay. In most areas of the UK only about 1-2% of people said they wouldn't, except in London where that figure was 10%. Incidentally, most London residents were born outside the UK.

Neither party has been succeeding in almost anything the past decade.
We're financially crippled. The market is constantly fucked. Inflation is insane. Dems keep putting forward terrible leaders. Reps put forth an oversaturated orange with childlike tendencies. It's like watching a train wreck that keeps piling up.

The Democrats are trading short-term gains for long-term death.

By the third generation after immigration, only half of Hispanics still identify as Hispanic (White) and now simply identify as White. And the Democrats haven't won a majority of the White vote since 1972.

It's why they're continually trying to identify, exceptionalize, and expand narrower and more fringe social groups. Transrights suddenly became mainstream five years ago because even 0.2% of the population is now critical to shore up. They gently entered the shallow end of the pool with bathroom bills and then waded into deeper water with child sex changes.

But because intersectionality is self-defeating, even now they need to identify new voting blocks. They're now starting to cautiously enter the water of mainstreaming Minor Attracted Persons (formerly known as pedophiles).

The Democrats have been the "usual" governing party since founding and even ran the U.S. as a one-party state until the 1830s.

Less than 100 years ago, the Rats regularly had a 70% supermajority in the House of Representatives. They could freely amend the constitution anyway they wanted. Now, every trendline looked at through more than a single election cycle shows them in a state of continual collapse with the danger of their very survival accelerating every biennium.

Anti-Atlanticism has almost taken control of the GOP pushing out the Cheneys and Bushs, now it is slowly creeping across the country like an impenetrable Ivy. And a nation of fellow travelers isn't needed for a takeover, we just need anti-Democrats which they're dumbly providing themselves.

... then we take Berlin.

LOL!

Wake up: Trump has fundamentally reshaped the electorate. This is good news for the fight against MAGA fascism.

"Voters coming of age in the last eight years are having a unique generational introduction to politics. Everybody understands the lasting partisan impact inspirational leaders like FDR, Jack Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and Barack Obama had on the generations coming of age when they were president. But for this generation, Trump is the opposite – they are coming of age at a time when everybody around them, as well as the popular culture, loathe and ridicule him. Especially in the Blue states, where MAGA candidates dominate the uncompetitive GOP primaries, there is no exemplar of a reasonable Republican to be seen.
...
As it turns out, where you live is more strongly associated with how you vote than most of the demographic categories we hear about in election analyses. It is true that in general, we know that those with a college education are more Democratic than those without; people who live in cities are more Democratic than those who live in rural areas; women are more Democratic than men; Black, Latino, and AAPI voters are more Democratic than white voters; and that younger voters are more Democratic than older voters. But when we look at these categories in the context of which region of the country voters live in, the picture gets more complicated.

""There’s no reason to listen to those who still think Democrats need to focus on winning back Trump-leaning voters instead of simply doing everything necessary to maintain the support of those who have already rejected Trump/MAGA and continue to turn them out, along with mobilizing those voters aging into the electorate. Nor is there any reason to listen to those who panic at any survey which shows Biden substantially behind, unless that survey also shows massive defections from people who voted for him in 2020.""

I hope the GOP runs Trump but I see no way Republicans win the White House.

Agreed.

Across the board, populist, anti-Atlanticist politicians are beating the pro-war neocons of the uniparty. Atlanticism is on the ropes and is fighting for its life.
