Another thing that is sitting in the back of my head, is that we are 99% sure that Max is not Arsonist but how can he not know what his role is? Then on top of that he forgot to use his role at night but he still do not know what it is? Does this mean he is also not scum, because they at least talk to each other? Or it was just a clever scum move

i don't see why people keep thinking i'm suspicious. for the record, i will state that i'm town. but it seems the only issue is that as i read the messages, i got suspicious of traf. but by the time i had gotten to the site, two others had thought him suspicious. so now i'm suspected of being mafia due to poor timing? if i had gotten online before Kong, would all this suspicion have gone to him instead?

that said, Traf's post does have me re-thinking things. not quite enough to pull my vote just yet.. but it was placed because his comment was either stupid or sus.. and it's looking like it was more to the dumb side of that scale

I actually believe Traf, but in the same sentence I also agree with Ragian, Traf you should claim. You already said that your role is not so important, but at least it is not Vanilla, so scum now already know it is a PR of some sort. For this reason IMHO I think town can benefit more than scum at the moment with your claim?

Rag, I think Traf needs to claim exactly what powers he has, to back up his being town, having a role or power but not very important.
His claim so far isn't a claim - its vague (which could be town but equally could be mafia elusive)
Sonic has stated what town roles there are, he has said town is mostly vanilla, but then there is the stuff about his goodies being distributed.

(I expect mafias to either already be 3 strong, or if not to have strong night powers (possibly both) so I want to get mafia during the day rather than rely on cluedo work from what happens at night in this game.)

If we can virtually eliminate Traf as being possible mafia by virtue of a proper claim, I'd say that what he reveals that yes might be of value to mafia, but still would be a price worth paying.

Ok, my role is Reporter I can visit 1 person in the night and see if they moved or not, but I cannot know where they went or what they did. On N1 I checked on max as his statement was odd and wanted to confirm if he had a role actually. He did not moved on N1

I think I've written that a fair few times. Others have echoed it. When put at L-2, you claim. If we let go of that rule, there's no reason anyone should claim, which ends with town losing the ability of counterclaiming and vetting claims. Basically, not claiming at L-2 is anti-town. It is noted that jfm disregards that aspect.

Thanks for claiming, Traf. So, we can safely assume that Max is not the arsonist (unless he forgot to prime), and we know that he is not the scum carrying out the kill. That's good info (if real).

Hmm, I have been reading everything that is written here, but I have been busy during easter, both on CC and real life.
Good we have another week before deadline, I will read through the whole thread again later, maybe it's something we/I have missed.

But for now I will unvote Max, even though I still find it a bit weird, do we think he is the Mafia traitor? I have read the mafia wiki, but still not sure I get it, is it a good or bad role for us?

Traf your info on max not moving dovetails perhaps too conveniently with what max has said about not getting his (although he's not sure about his exact role so he says) n1 actions to sonic in time.
I can't discount you and max sorta agreeing as mafia to each put out confusing statements, and you playing lazily as such D1 and early D2.

Reporter as you've explained it doesn't fit exactly and arguably doesn't fit at all with Sonic's mod promise that only Cop, doctor, Vigilante, Jailkeeper, Firefighter , Roleblocker (all with altered soft role modifications for game balance) are in the game.
Maybe at a stretched soft role modification of cop???
And it doesn't fit with the handcuffs, bulletproof vest, or 1 shot back up vig - smith & weston.

Well I see it as an investigative Role. I am sure the modificacions can be a lot fo things "flavor cop" "faith healer" etc.
As for Max. I have been really frustrated with him. Last game EW and Sonic did a great play as mafia but also max not comunicatiuve made us waste a lot of time in him and I ahve been frustrated sharing town with him as I do not find him reliable. So if we can clear him or caught him early on I see it as a great win.
