Sure, if people are cowering in their houses, they're not going to go down to the bars and get into fights.
Is that really the future you want for your country? Frightened people trembling behind locked doors while APCs roll through the streets?
Maybe you'd enjoy North Korea. I hear there's no crime at all there.
Part of the Crime problem in the USA:
1) too many guns;
2) too many guns in the hands of criminals;
3) too many guns in the hands of crazies;
4) too much poverty, leading to gangs and drugs and criminals;
5) poor public schools (lots of folks to blame here);
7) too many lenient public prosecutors;
8 ) too many unfilled police positions; and
9) poorly run cities, mostly ALL by Democrats.
10) Too few police officers (#8 above) lead to fewer arrests and thus LOWER crime due to lack of ACTUAL REPORTING and NOT due to an actual decrease in Crime.
With all these attempt to "Defund the Police" and the aftermath of BLM movement, who wants to be a Policeman to "Serve and Protect"? The Police are not respected. Having taught in Public School, I saw that NO ONE was respected (by SOME students): Teachers, Principals, Security and SROs (Police Officers in the Schools). That lack of respect extended to other students, too.
(I will add that we in public school recognized this lack of respect and there was a movement to teach Societal and Emotional [and Cultural] Wellbeing in School. I like to think that I was mostly successful with my LARGE group of 25 or so students. The first week of lessons was on how to great others by shaking hands and looking that person in the eye. I made sure all, or nearly all, did that successfully. That was happening until COVID shut down the schools in the USA.)
And NO, Duk, I have no plans to move to North Korea, or even Canada. SILLINESS.
