President Trump may end the War in Ukraine. That would be a worthy accomplishment.

Hillary Clinton says she'd nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize if he ends Ukraine war without giving territory to Russia

Trump works for PEACE, and Biden.....spends MONEY and gets BRIBES (very likely)

Possible sites for trilateral summit considered
WASHINGTON/LONDON/KYIV, Aug 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he ruled out putting U.S. troops on the ground in Ukraine but said the United States might provide air support as part of a deal to end Russia's war in the country.

Trump, the worst president of all time and all around feeble Putin boot licker, he enabled the worst genocide in the last 10 years in Gaza and instead of trying to stop it he's actively supplied the country committing the genocide with weapons and untold amounts of US money and then convinced his braindead weak-minded followers that he is in favor of peace.

Trump claims the Palestinians should 'leave' even through they are block at all borders from leaving their own country and have no way to leave besides in an Israeli body bag. Fortunately the US has been suppling loads of body bags to accomadate all sizes of Palestinians including infant sizes.

Since Trump took office, the United States has been involved in five ceasefires or peace agreements, though not all parties involved credit the U.S. for the agreements. Those include:

Armenia and Azerbaijan - The two former Soviet republics and Trump signed a peace agreement at the White House on Aug. 8, ending a decades-long war. The leaders of the countries gave Trump ample praise for his efforts at the ceremony.

Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda - Trump announced a treaty between the African nations in a June 20 social media post, crediting Secretary of State Marco Rubio for helping to bring them together.
Iran and Israel - Trump announced on June 23 a ceasefire between the two countries after the U.S. joined Israel in bombing Iranian nuclear sites.

India and Pakistan - Trump announced the neighboring countries, both armed with nuclear weapons, had reached a ceasefire in May with U.S.-led talks after an intensifying military confrontation. However, India did not credit the U.S. with brokering the halt in fighting.

Cambodia and Thailand - Leaders of the two countries agreed to a ceasefire on July 28 after five deadly days of fighting, Reuters reported. Trump urged them to negotiate a ceasefire or else trade deals with the governments would stall.

New York appeals court throws out Trump's more than $500 million fraud judgment
(...)

"[W]hile harm certainly occurred, it was not the cataclysmic harm that can justify a nearly half billion-dollar award to the State," two of the judges wrote.

Trump touted the judgment's dismissal in remarks to law enforcement officers in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.

"I had a victory today. You know, they stole $550 million from me with a fake case, and it was overturned. They said this was a fake case,” Trump told the group of officers in Washington, D.C.

Mostly nonsense.

India and Pakistan worked out the ceasefire without anyone's input.

Cambodia and Thailand rejected Trump's meddling. Marco Rubio even flew to Kuala Lumpur to stick his nose into the peace negotiations but was ignored. In the end, although Malaysia's Prime Minister was instrumental in organizing the peace conference, Cambodia and Thailand worked it out themselves.

The one about Israel and Iran is an egregious lie. Trump encouraged Nutty Yahoo to attack Iran, so it was simple enough to withdraw that encouragement to stop the conflict. That doesn't make Trump a peacemaker. If someone punches you in the face, do you call him your saviour when he stops punching you?

The first two on your list are cases where Trump can appropriate some of the credit, although they probably could have been accomplished without him.

Whatever the level of credit and involvement, the situation would NOT have been as good with Biden as POTUS. Nothing posted here to DISPUTE that, Duk. Trump can claim some credit and involvement.

So, tell me, Duk, since pack rat cannot, what foreign policy PEACE initiative can Biden claim, other than his disastrous withdraw from Afghanistan?

Washington, Lincoln, Trump. Sorry Reagan you’re in fourth. I think future historians will have a more positive image of Trump. The volumes of books written on Trump may even exceed the other presidents.

Most importantly, of course, the ceasefire in Gaza, which was in effect at the end of his term. Unfortunately, with the accession of Trump, Nutty Yahoo felt encouraged to violate the ceasefire and resume full-scale atrocities in Gaza. But we should not forget that, at the end of Biden's term, fighting in Gaza had stopped, hostages were being exchanged, and a long-term peace was in sight.

Other that that, you're right, there wasn't a great deal of success in peace negotiations. There was a lot of "work in progress" stuff, in Angola, in Burma, in Ethiopia, etc., that might have borne fruit in the long run, but I won't pretend to have a crystal ball and know how those would have turned out.

It unquestionably will. Armies are psyched up to go fight the enemy. Asking them to oppress their own citizens is always hard on morale. History offers thousands of examples. If you don't know anything about history, I don't get paid to teach you.

Crime Down in DC due to Trump sending Troops there; Troops may go to Chicago, too:

No patrol but Trump visits police, military in DC as he touts anti-crime push

President Donald Trump met with police and military in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to oversee the surge in federal law enforcement and National Guard, who are responding to what he says is a crime emergency in the district.

Trump visited the U.S. Park Police Anacostia Operations Facility in Southeast D.C., which is serving as the gathering point for all the agencies involved in the operation, thanking officers and members of the military and delivering hamburgers from the White House and pizza.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-police-military-patrol-dc-thursday-night/story?id=124853091

Hundreds of unarmed National Guard troops have been in Washington's streets for the past two weeks after Trump declared a crime emergency in the district. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last week authorized the troops to carry weapons.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-national-guard-troops-washington-begin-carrying-weapons-officials-say-2025-08-24/

Compared to the most populated states like California, New York, and Texas, Washington, D.C., also appears to have a higher rate of crime against persons, according to the FBI data.

https://www.newsweek.com/gop-states-sending-troops-dc-crime-rates-2116611

National Guard's presence slashes D.C. crime rates, with seven days homicide-free

and
(...) since the Guard's arrival, the city has experienced a notable decline in criminal activity.

For the first time in a long time, D.C. has gone seven days without a homicide. Carjackings have decreased by 83%, robberies by 46%, car thefts by 21%, and overall violent crime is down 22%.

https://foxbaltimore.com/news/city-in-crisis/national-guards-presence-slashes-dc-crime-rates-with-seven-days-homicide-free

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A U.S. official confirmed to ABC News Sunday that the Pentagon is drafting plans for the potential use of National Guard troops in Chicago.

A Pentagon spokesperson said "We won't speculate on further operations. The Department is a planning organization and is continuously... working with other agency partners on plans to protect federal assets and personnel."

(...)
Some in Chicago agree with the president's plans.

"It's too much crime, so it needs to be some type of law and order, and if this administration cannot get it done, the Johnson administration can't get it done... then yeah, we need the National Guard," said Zoe Leigh with Chicago Flips Red.

Part of the Crime problem in the USA:

1) too many guns;
2) too many guns in the hands of criminals;
3) too many guns in the hands of crazies;
4) too much poverty, leading to gangs and drugs and criminals;
5) poor public schools (lots of folks to blame here);
7) too many lenient public prosecutors;
8 ) too many unfilled police positions; and
9) poorly run cities, mostly ALL by Democrats.
10) Too few police officers (#8 above) lead to fewer arrests and thus LOWER crime due to lack of ACTUAL REPORTING and NOT due to an actual decrease in Crime.

With all these attempt to "Defund the Police" and the aftermath of BLM movement, who wants to be a Policeman to "Serve and Protect"? The Police are not respected. Having taught in Public School, I saw that NO ONE was respected (by SOME students): Teachers, Principals, Security and SROs (Police Officers in the Schools). That lack of respect extended to other students, too.

(I will add that we in public school recognized this lack of respect and there was a movement to teach Societal and Emotional [and Cultural] Wellbeing in School. I like to think that I was mostly successful with my LARGE group of 25 or so students. The first week of lessons was on how to great others by shaking hands and looking that person in the eye. I made sure all, or nearly all, did that successfully. That was happening until COVID shut down the schools in the USA.)

And NO, Duk, I have no plans to move to North Korea, or even Canada. SILLINESS.

Why bother debating our local genius? You can't debate someone who declares himself a winner with any and all arguments and vomits garbage in support of a slow moving insurrection.

The Red States on average have a higher crime rate.

AI Overview
+1
Yes, Louisiana often has the highest or one of the highest murder rates in the United States, consistently ranking at or near the top in recent years, influenced by socioeconomic factors and high firearm-related incidents. For example, Louisiana was in the top two for homicide rate every year since at least 2014, and recent reports show Mississippi and Louisiana having the highest and second-highest murder rates, respectively.
Key Points:
Consistently High Ranking:
Louisiana has been a constant presence at the top of the list for murder rates over the past decade.
Factors:
The high murder rate is attributed to various socioeconomic factors and a high prevalence of firearm-related incidents.
Comparison:
Other Southern states, such as Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee, also frequently appear among the states with the highest murder rates.

Why aren't they sending the National Guard to Louisiana?

Trump retribution against his political enemies is happening right now. This slow moving coup has started.

The mid term elections in 2026 is in danger! No joke! If the Democrats win big...Trump will say it's rig/stolen! Who is going to stop the insurrectionist? Right now all branches of the US Government is firmly under the control of Trump. He will declare a State of Emergency and with the military take control of the Capitol.
