I'm intrigued by Rags - Stroke is mafia line.

I'm going to discount that Rag has any firm evidence of that (unless he says otherwise).
That leaves one of the following possibilities;

1. Rag thinks he has a probable tell on Strike (but I haven't so I'm virtually discounting that too, unless Rag says what he thinks it is)
2. Rag is town and has picked Strike virtually at random to try to get a claim out of (- perhaps thinking why not - if Strike has a town PR he's going to be a reasonably likely target for mafia anyway)
3. Rag is mafia (and strike may or may not be) but either way its a win win for a mafia Rag to get claim out of Strike.

Rag hasn't actually voted Strike I see.

I'm going to vote Strike Vote Strike and see where it goes.

I'm also going to say to Rag, justify either your suspicions on Strike OR justify or at least discuss the tactic of trying to get a claim out of Strike.

FP'd by Darin - both valid posts

Did I say it twice Ragian? My apologies no offence meant, genuinely curious as to why you think so, but it may be you are doing the same as me regarding Kongming, we have to start somewhere, mine was purely through the fact of Kongmings original post.
But I have asked him/her questions which I assume is part of the game rather than just asking for a claim which seems a bit unsubtle as in the case of Charles asking me to make a claim.

But it is not a bad beginning which might be very useful later in the game. So everybody votes for the person they feel is the most scummy with a reason and we take it from there.

So from my side, it is only Rob's opening statement that he might by mistake mentioned of the nice setup, and only scum knows each others names at this stage, but I don't think they know each other's roles yet, which they will only find out tonight when they chat.

Having said this, and thinking while I am typing, Rob could probably just received a cool role, so I am back to square 1 with no idea, although i don't think anybody as any idea at this stage :)

With 11 alive it takes 6 to lynch!

Silver words from a serpent’s mouth,
Sugar sweet, but heading south,
Sugar spun still sliding south;
They press the easy questions, poised and neat,
weave velvet logic through the heat;
they set the stage, they cue the light,
The Reid way tells me—press the charm,
For velvet truth still hides the harm.

Cause I hear gears, not shifting sands,
for clockwork rumors under velvet hands..
So sing your verse and play your part—
I’ll find the truth beneath the art.
Yet those who watch, and those who lead,
Should always mind the lessons of the Reid:

For truth’s not caught by tone or jest,
Nor proven loud by who protests.
Sometimes the trap’s not in the claim—
But close and plain;
- in the way we play the game

From Zhuge Liang Kongming’s perspective — the poetic accused his third book - Strategist and former Imperial Chancellor of Shu Han, chapter 3, verse 12 :

They call me shyster for speaking in grace,
Yet none recall who first set the chase.
A question asked in Reid’s cold room—
And now suspicion blooms like gloom.

If beauty in words is cause for fear,
Then truth itself can’t linger here.
They ask, they press, with patient grace,
Each smile rehearsed, each mirrored face.
The Reid-born art—subtle, clean—
Makes lies sound calm, and guilt serene.

So ask not who rhymes, but who repeats—
The echo’s tongue is where deceit meets.

Sometimes the trap’s not in the claim—
But close and plain;
- in the way we play the game

In halls where doubt and whisper lie,
Three shadows rule, yet none ask why.
They build their thrones on shifting ties —
Are how the clever colonize.

One speaks with silver, calm and sure,
One smiles so sweet the crowd’s unsure,
One watches, silent, counting blame —
And none will name them all the same.

They move as one but seem apart,
Each plays a role, each hides a heart.
So mark the lesson, close and plain:
The trap’s not in the claim —
But in the way we play the game.

Honestly, Rag calling me scum repeatedly just seems to read as trying to get a reaction to me. Loose and Hal questioned it, which I feel is mostly a natural response. Im less certain on what to make of Loose voting me over it. Either way, I am kind of more interested in those who have been active and just kind of ignored it.

I dont really see any weight to the Kong scum argument. The Everyman post at the center of it just feels like a jesty post that would be easy for town or scum to make.

You're good, Strike. I love it. Yeah, I just threw it out there because a) people are busy trying to find clues/guess a setup they have zero ideas about at this stage - and I'll say it again: It's a way to appear active without really doing anything - and b) to see how people reacted. There have been several reactions, but I sort of agree with Strike that those who haven't reacted - maybe apart from the fashionably late couple - look most interesting.

Also, I think halrob has confused Darin and me due to Darin quoting halrob while addressing me. Darin always finding me suspicious I probably can't do anything about :D

@hjelp, I think Devante's vote(s) on you is a joke precisely because he entered just before you. Your reaction to his vote, and your point about where to find the game have me raising an eyebrow, however. Where did you find the previous game, and why didn't you just shrug off the (to me obvious joke) vote when you correctly acknowledge that Devante would by hypocritical to vote you with the grounds provided?

@ Ragian
The former game was to be found in the column "Announcements"

and of course, Devante's vote it's a joke, also the double vote.

But now it's a game. And in games a "scum" also has the properties of a "bully".
Now you're defending a "bully", so maybe you're a scum too?

@ Devante
is 1.30 a.m. early for you to go to bed? It's after midnight. Then obviously you are a scum acting in the dark. Maybe a werewolf lurking around?

Don't mind a bit of action coming out from a day 0.5 post. I honestly think Darin came out of it seeming the most scummy to me from the casual non-commital agreeance with halrob, but not super concerned about anything for now.

To answer a few questions:

1) Are you an experienced player at mafia games?
- I've played enough at this point that I feel I have a certain baseline confidence, though admittedly I haven't had experience as any non-town role yet somehow so perhaps that could be a point of suspicion.
2) Why did you feel the need to introduce yourself in such an archaic way that clearly would arouse comment and suspicion
- It was a fluff post from the opening phase, you're welcome to read into it if you like but I think it was pretty obviously not intended to be taken overly seriously.
3) Were you directed to post by Sonic as others are impying here?
- From a game mechanics prospective, I'd think I wouldn't be allowed to say so if I was. Either I'd be explicitly restricted from posts afterwards, or be required to make a genuine and consistent effort for the duration of the full day (with a penalty like death for failure to do so to keep me honest and prevent me from making it super obvious I was manipulated). Possible to implement, but feels pretty unlikely from the games I've been apart of thus far. That all to say my official response to that is "No."
