I do sorta feel Hjelp as a newer player and for his contribution to the game is the player who deserves to stay most.
Also maybe perversely for the challenge of it for me, I think Hjelp is the more challenging to show is bad.
So for those 2 marginal reasons I'd prefer a lynch of rag

The Day They Finally Lynched the Loose Canon

It had been another wild day : wagons derailed, votes flipped, arguments flared into miniature bonfires, and through it all danced the same figure—

the Loose Canon.

Nobody could quite remember when he arrived in town.
Some said he wandered in during a thunderstorm.
Others swore he simply appeared mid-argument one day, pointing dramatically at someone and shouting,
“LYNCH THAT GUY, HE SMELLS LIKE MAFIA!”

Most days, he changed his mind three times before breakfast.

The Accusation Begins

By noon, the town square was stuffed with tired villagers.

Someone muttered, “He voted me three times yesterday.”
Another snapped, “He voted for me and with me in the same minute.”
A third whispered, “He pressure-voted the mayor’s cat…”

They looked at each other.
They nodded.

A wagon formed instantly—of course it did.
The Loose Canon practically jumped onto it himself.

“I love wagons!” he cried.
“Whose wagon is this? Mine? Yours? Doesn’t matter—LET’S ROLL!”

Chaos Until the End - but his chaos or chaos played by the mysterious dr. Lecter?

As the rope was prepared, Loose Canon made one last brilliant flourish:

Loose canon shouted firmly “I UNVOTE MYSELF!"

Guard: But you haven't voted?

Loose Canon:
"NO—WAIT—REVOTE!
NO—COUNTERWAGON!
NO—COUNTERCOUNTERWAGON!”

Then the bell tolled.
The ground rumbled.
The Loose Canon, still shouting ten contradictory theories, was escorted to the gallows..

“Any last words?” asked the guard.

“Yes! Absolutely!” Loose shouted
“I have evidence— It's a letter from Dr. Lecter i just found now! Take it out of my pocket and reed out loud! It will proof im town!"

The guard starts to reed out loud the letter:
"This rhyme unveils with prOOf who shot the Cop :
Last night he moved in shadows thin,
Outpaced the watchful, slipped right in.
Odds say he shoots before he thinks,
Spite in his step, chaos in winks.
Every clue points toward his plan.

Careful: he doesn’t work for town—

Nothing he says remains aligned.
Only confusion trails behind.
Now name the threat who fits this canon!"

Loose Canon:

That sentence "The truth lies boxed in rows of five" and what we found fluttering down out of Loose's pocket is exactly that what it discribes with "boxed in rows of five" and that "dual row of ten odd symbols"? After all Loose is a brilliant mind..

N3 the retired town doc was poisoned again...this ment he was sick and unfit for duty D4...

The poison was so strong he needed another fix to live..

The fix didn't came.. instead more poison was added by DR. LECTER!

Clever of the poisoner to kill off halrob. Well, it has to be you, hjelp. It's not me, and halrob has vouched for Devante. I didn't like how you wrote "no result" on halrob. Also, I would think it weird - even if I can sort of see why - that Charle should investigate me two nights in a row. However, as throughout the game, we are not in a rush.

Hjelp, I know you think it has to be, just like I think it has to be you. What are your arguments that it's not you?

My (only?) argument lies in my gameplay. That said, none of our claims can be vetted, so I guess we're even on that. I think that throughout I've acted in town's interest by urging caution when needed and instigated debate when needed.

Now I have to figure out if hjelp has fabricated the investigation thing from Charle, or if Devante has played me with his "it's okay if you lynch me as I can still win with town".

I think that the first thing you do is to say that it has to be me and thereby miscredit my gameplay and trying to justify your gameplay.
IF you actually are town then you wouldn't have started to attack directly. You're acting like you're copying Loose Canon's gameplay.

I am Town and
I shall argue for that you can be 3p and why Devante can't be 3P.
or
I shall argue for that Devante can be 3p and why you can't be 3P.

But first I have to find out
if 3P is Lecter, then myself and a second player are Town.
or
if one player is 3P and a second player is Lecter, then I'm the only Town.

If 3P is DR Lecter then 3P is a Doc?

@hjelp, you can call it copying Loose's play, but that indicates two things to me: 1) You're very defensive and 2) you don't put yourself in my shoes. Also, I'm playing with open cards here.

Saying that I'm discrediting you is reading (all of) my posts very selectively. But for the sake of being forthcoming (which, apparently, is not very Danish), I will applaud you for the following:
- You can be reasoned with when asked to. I especially liked your backing down D3 until we were smarter and ended up with the right lynch (even if Darin wasn't the right lynch in hindsight...the 20/20 of sights).
- You have been very disciplined in looking at poems, clues, and all the stuff that, to be honest, I don't have the energy to look at.
- You have maintained a cool head when the Canon was as Loose as it gets.
- You have found discrepancies where they were to be found. E.g. you found a discrepancy in my claim before I knew about it.

So no, I'm not miscrediting your play. Even if I felt there was something different about you that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I am, however, willing to chalk that up to me not having played a lot of games with you. What stirs in the back of my paranoid mind, though, is you writing "no result" when it came to Halrob. I know that you've explained it away with paraphrasing, but you have to acknowledge that, from where I'm sitting, it smells a wee bit when you equate the result on Halrob with the result on me. At the same time, I acknowledge you not believing in me because of my idiocy when claiming. And I accept that. Even if it means that town won't win. I will shoulder that defeat if necessary.

And to answer your question: I did nothing last night like all other nights. I have no active abilities.

Now, looking at the poems, I am completely at your mercy, Hjelp. As stated, I haven't looked at any of the poems or clues because it's not where my force lies. It's with analysing players (even that ability can be questioned, but it's definitely better than my ability to work out escape rooms). If you're saying that the the 3rd party poisoner has to be a doc, I accept that.

Looking at Dev, I will say the following:
- It's very convenient that he hasn't been able to claim, but if true, I'd think that that would be a very difficult role if on the one hand you're 3rd party and on the other hand you cannot claim. Town would be having you for breakfast. And indeed several people were on his case.
- The way I felt Dev come across when he was on his way to the scaffold, however, indicated a town person to me. I also think that his actions and reactions have looked town. For instance to Darin's self-voting.

I acknowledge that all of this could be a 3rd party player who is mimicking town because it's easier to blend in with town as 3rd party than as scum because you don't have to eliminate town before the endgame.

So yeah, I am at a loss here and I will not be voting until forced and until this horse is flogged to death.

I'll also add that whoever of you two is 3rd party, you both deserve the win. I'd like to win as town here, but one also has to accept that if someone gets to the end as 3rd party, they've done one hell of a job.

1. You haven't played other games with me than these. This is the second Mafia game I have played since I was born. In this second game I have learnt that one better be "cool".

Regarding paraphrasing - I explained it - I didn't explained it away.
I managed to prove that Loose Canon's claim was false thanks to Charle's report and Devante's explanation regarding Quack Doc. The report confirmed that Charle investigated halrob64 N1 and made it clear 100% that Loose Canon's claim was false.

In this second game I have analysed and connect what players post, and tried to use clues given. Although not very successfull regarding clues, they are difficult.
I haven't yet analysed players, but I will.
Here's an example -

Exactly. It said in the first post that Strike was out. It might be nothing. It was just weird.

Going for Strike is an ambiguous choice, I feel. While it was quite logical that scum would not touch him as several people were on his case (not me, however, I only did the random thing randomly and wasn't really suspecting Strike), he could've been the target of several PRs trying to check him out, which, I think, would pose a threat to our snake in the midst. Obviously, they wouldn't be called out by anyone other than a watcher - and why watch Strike if he looked scummily? You'd track him instead. Or cop check him. Maybe I'm talking myself into thinking that it's a good choice. The choice of an experienced player... Any thoughts anyone?
