Trying to improve my esc. gameplay

Postby insomniacdude on Mon Dec 03, 2007 7:06 pm

Looking for a few players in the 1400 points area (or more) to play some esc. games with me. I'm interested in playing more, but I don't want to join games with a bunch of newbies or idiots with a gametype I'm not as strong with. I'll probably mix up the settings a bit as well - different forts as well as a few fog of war games. Maps....I donno.

I'll set up some games later if I get enough interest. I'd like at least four people playing. Post/PM if interested. Hopefully it can be a mutually beneficial experience for all interested. I'll create some games later if I get response. Until then...homework :-(

My suggestion if you are trying to learn to play better Esc, or any specific game type.

Unless you're wanting to learn how to play Fog of War, I wouldn't use it to learn how to play Esc. One of the biggest things to learn in Esc is what opponents to take out, in what order, and when.

Only make a strong attack against someone if you know, or have a very good chance at taking them out. If you leave someone weak, then you could be handing the game to someone else who will defeat that person, get their cards; then move on to the next person.

I've been playing increasing my number of esc games over the past month or so, so I've an idea of the basic strategy. I just want a chance to be a bit more malleable with some new ideas as well as try out some new maps while I'm at it.
