Unlikely that it is a felony, because you have to have the score sent from the testing authority and they would not lie for you. More likely the school would classify you as REJECTED and leave it at that.

ugh, FAFSA is the bane of my existance. i'm required by my school to fill it out every year even though i know i wont get anything

Lucky you, lol. I got a 35 and more Midwest colleges rejected me than accepted me. I mean, my grades were... not that good, but some colleges are all about GPA and don't care about your test scores at all. In fact, college admissions is pretty much BS in general.

In regards to scholarships, ACT/SAT scores are huge. I'm not sure if your highschool GPA will be looked at, if you got your degree through correspondence courses. The fact that you're not coming out of high school will change a lot of things, so keep in mind that a lot of advice you hear or read might not apply to you.

A lot of scholarships aren't completely merit-based, but need-based. Kids from well-off families are excluded from the second kind, no matter how good their grades were. I think most need-based scholarships do look at grades and scores though, so if you want to improve your chances, study for and retake the SAT or ACT until you have a stellar score.

Most importantly, apply to a lot of scholarships. There are tons of them. Some of them only look at an essay you write for them, and ignore everything else.

There are free websites that know almost every scholarship availible, filter out the ones that you qualify for, and give you a continuously updated list. I used FastWeb.com.

I did graduate form my school, I just used correspondance courses to booster my vredits.

Cause a lot of girls are there looking for husbands, and if you're too much of a player, it'll get around. So when you meet a girl you really care about, and want to be serious about, she might not take you seriously.

Be careful what you believe from the pimp. Over 50% of the graduates from law school are women. Their numbers are increasing in all fields except some of the STEM sciences. Women do better in college than men, generally. So don't think you are the big catch drifting through a sea of desperate women.

Oh yeah... watch out about the fafsa. I I just remembered the definitions for being independent from the parents are controversially strict. There's a few circumstances that allow you to be officially independent on the fafsa. The ones I remember are: if you're married, above 26 (I think its 26), a US veteran, an orphan, or you financially support another person at least 50%... otherwise I think you'll still have to provide your parents' tax info and they'll look at that when deciding your aid. I had to use my parents' info even though I listed as an independent and they don't pay for any of my school or living costs. :/

Don't worry about being independent for FAFSA, they are not going to let you go unless you have a court order or are 26. However, you can be declared independent by the school administration for the purpose of tuition (in-state if your parents are out of state) and other scholarships, regardless the FAFSA finding. Independence is good, get it, keep it, treasure it.

I'm going to check on this next Thursday when I talk to the financial aid department!

Schools relevent to my interest(still looking though):
University of Wisconsin (they don't look so great on juicycampus.com though,lol)
University of Dubuque Iowa (part of tri-state education program!!!)
University of Illinois (seems outrageously hard to enter for me)
Highland Community College (voted best in state!)

You should go to community college for the first two years. This is not a joke. IT is MUCH cheaper. Then you can transfer to a 4 year school.

best way to go, especially when money is tight.

Good advice on FASFA, in fact the only way to go. Bad advice on Community College. Please do the research and find out how many ENTERING community college end up GRADUATING from four-year school. The stats are abysmal.
