There is another thread in GD that is in the process of listing the top ten CC members in regards to simple number of unique opponents defeated.
This is a fine thread, but it only tells half the story. Any unintelligent and unskilled player will develop a large number of unique defeated opponents, simply by playing a large number of games.
Similarly, some very skilled and intelligent players may not have played as many games yet, and so the bare number of unique opponents defeated holds absolutely no relevance to such a player's actual skill in the game. What if the most skilled player of all has only played a handful of games, for example? No -- merely counting the number of unique opponents says absolutely nothing about a member's actual skill level in the game.
I broke out my calculator and revised the list in the other thread to show each player's ACTUAL game skill statistics. This version tells the whole story, whereas the other thread only tells half the story.
Each member from the other list is ranked here according to Unique Opponents Defeated per Game Finished (uod/gf).
For clarity, because a certain individual on the other thread has displayed an unfortunate ignorance of simple mathematics, the relevant statistic "uod/gf" is presented here for each member on the list as both a raw number and a percentage. (50% = 0.50; 100% = 1.00; 200% = 2.00, etc).
In layman's terms, the final number means that the member listed (member GoVegan, for example) has defeated an average of 0.71 unique opponents per game finished. For member TheBro, for example, he has defeated 1.10 unique members per game completed.
Here is the UPDATED official list of ACTUAL Game Skill Statistics, as it stands at this moment:
I'm delighted to see that I am by far the highest ranked member on the site (so far), as regards ACTUAL Skill Level, and I would like to thank my kind friends at the other thread for providing the statistics by which these facts have been calculated. I will keep this list updated according to any new entries on the other list.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
wow, great work Klobber, I dont quite undertsand it all, but why am I only # 2 on the site?
Thanks for asking, friend! It's because your statistics warrant second place, between me and member TheBro.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
KLOBBER's Highest Score: 3642 (General)
KLOBBER's Highest place on scoreboard: #15 (fifteen) out of 20,000+ players.
Keep the flaming out of here, folks. I've split away the last few posts of inappropriate material, let's not force the Bigbot to do that again, shall we? No reason to disturb him on a lovely Sunday morning.

Well I suppose if complete idiots were unable to post such drivel then he would not need disturbing, but far be it for some one such as I to pass comment.
Due to current economic conditions the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off
Just becuase you win against a lot of diffrent people doesn't mean you are good at all. KLOBBER, you almost only have New Recruits in your games. Whom never join any of your games again. Thats why you got so high here. Not becuase you are good. Because, you really ARE NOT good KLOBBER. Sure, you are better than some New Recruits. But that doesn't mean shit.

gentle klobber, perhaps you should set some games with the other players on the list, so you can truly prove to everyone that you truly are the most 'skilled' player on the site. for surely, if you are the best, you will beat them all, right? truly, if you set up many games against them, you'll win the majority of the games, right? i bet they'd even agree to your favorite map setting (foggy cm, no less), so that we would settle this argument once and for all!. i look forward to seeing you challenge these arrogant, less talented players in callouts so that you can prove once and for all your superiority.

The problem with your calculations [klobber] is that what you lack in game skills you make up for by hooking the system for points. It's difficult to understand how anyone can honestly consider stacks of deadbeat recruits as actual unique opponents "skillfully defeated," much less boast about those numbers. Some day Lackattack might correct this oversight and make those hollow victories worth no points and if that correction is retroactive, you will be demoted to Cook until you actually decide to play more legitimate games with actual opponents.
but seriously how would you put yourself up on an "actual game skill stat list" when all you play are new recruits? KLOBBER, stop foeing ppl and play them if you wanna prove that you're good
Simon Viavant wrote:And unfoe me! I haven't even played you! I just joined a couple of your games, then you dropped them, and now I try to join one and I'm foed!
daydream wrote:actually, i think this statistic is uninteresting, since it only lists unique opponents, whereas the ones you beat twice arent included, therefore giving you a big advantage since you rarely play anyone twice. if you wanted to use a statistic that includes all opponents beaten, you might as well use the kill ratio that map rank offers.
good point indeed, interesting, but klobber may not be in top 10 then?
