Andy, you should post more updates of your Crusader Kings game. It's fun reading about it.

So I've still got my Scotland game going pretty strong. Still aching to take over England, but luckily my nephew in my Dyansty is the heir to the throne, since I had the prince of England in my court some years ago, so stinks for his dynasty coming to end. I'm curious to see how it all turns out. Also, I wanted to mention that the Kingdom of Sweden in my game has been eliminated from map essentially. The tiny republic of Gotland has taken over their kingdom, haha. And Iberia, and even portion of southern France, is all Islamic.

So I've hopped back into my Scotland game. Right now I am at a bit of a stalemate with England, though at least someone from my Dynasty (the "Dunkelds," great terrible dynasty name, haha) is currently ruling England. I'm basically waiting for some internal crises to see if I can strike and take over some of their land in York on my border. But it will be tough, since they have a pretty big army, so I'm biding my time for now.

Outside of my corner of the world, the Byzantine Empire is falling apart, France has been in disarray for like 50 years, Iberia is completely Islamic, and the Holy Roman Empire is also struggling to keep from fragmenting. Moreover, the Papacy in Rome is literally fighting off Islamic hordes on the doorstep of Rome. For about a decade, Islamic invaders occupied Rome. I was really hoping they would take over Rome...since I still have my Antipope in Scotland, and I was curious as to what would happen. Next time the Islamic hordes strike at Rome, I might also declare war on Rome and see if I can install my Antipope.

Moreover, the Islamic empires of Persia, Syria, and Arabia have all fallen to the the Mongol hordes that have been invading from the east. And I decided it was an excellent time to foster some relations with these new menacing hordes, so I started having their daughters marry into my family and started inviting their courtiers to Scotland. My first Mongol wife (I'm an Irish Catholic ruling Scotland, Wales, and Ireland mind you), died pretty early due to the plague. But my second Mongol wife has produced some offspring. I'm really hoping I get to call the Mongol hordes into a war. Scotland and Mongol hordes, side by side.

Long live Scotland. Long live Mongolia.

Any RPG fans, might want to check out this Kickstarter by inXile Entertainment: Torment: Tides of Numenera

It looks like the type of game I'd love to play, and it is already well past its funding goal with 3 weeks left, and it will likely just continue to rack up money. Only downside is that game development, is of course, long and it won't be out until late 2014 or early 2015!

5 MWC teams made it. Air Force got screwed by the NIT (mainly becuase their best player got injured against UNLV in the conference tourny), but they are in the CIT while Wyoming is in the CBI and faces Lehigh tomorrow night in Laramie.

I've played some CKII lately. Started a new dynasty. I picked Denmark and made my own character.
Have had a lot of fun (and success) in the beginning. Managed to take Bremen and Hamburg from the Holy Roman Emperor while he was dealing with two civil wars and an invasion from Hungary. I feel for him, seriously I do, I'd go insane if I had to deal with that!
The regions were De jure claims and counties that rightfully belong to the King of Denmark so he can't take them back unless he tries to fabricate a claim, in which case I can send assassins after the plotters before he he can attack me. With other words I feel safe I won't lose these regions in the next few years.
