Point Dumping
I'm finally beginning to understand why people do it.

Re: Point Dumping
I think he means that holding a reasonable rank leads to frustration at only earning a meagre total for a win, and losing a motza for a loss. Dumping points and going back to the glory days of raping 25points off a captain for a win. It is a common fantasy. I know I indulged in it on occasion when rank meant something to me. Game 5564943 [player]BoganGod[/player], [player]GallantPellham[/player], [player]donny the bull[/player], [player]megaswoman[/player] lose 72points...... Two pair for a few players at the same time, average-poor dice. Personal point rape molestation record.

Correct Bruce. That and my internet connection delivered by donkeys.
Don't care about the points really, Bogan.

Very few of the regular players care about the point system. It actually means nothing

Then how could 'point dumping' give you any sort of satisfaction?

The kind of good point you care about, or the kind of good point you don't care about?

That s because he wants to punish himself for having bad dice curing frustration by super frustration. Seems like a common human thing.
Bogan, 72 points, that s really a sissy score it happened to me a few times. I remember losing 100 points once in my early days, basically 5 minutes turns vs a jackass cook who started to deadbeat 2 turns and was down to 1 troop wasting my time. A flatmate showed me a video, forgot about the game and checked 20 minutes later. The guy came back at the last seconds to avoid a third straight miss in the meanwhile, i got kicked out for missing 3 turns and lost 100 points. That was really pleasant.

Kind of this. It's a bit like: "Ok, if you don't want me to win a game then f*ck this shit".
Also what Bruce said: "The frustration makes you feel you want to break something". What better than to break my own score and rank? Mind you, if you ask Pedronicus, he'll tell you he prefers throwing his laptop through the room, he's only done that 3 or 4 times.
Anyway, I didn't point dump and I don't think it would give me satisfaction. At the moment in time I felt better after posting this thread. Guess everybody deals different with frustration.

I broke the keyboard of my previous laptop last year after a punch
The new trench medal was out and i kept on playing 1v1 going second for like 16 games straight vs low ranks and shit dice. It s all about the repetition of bad luck that makes you furious.
Also lately i ve lost almost 1000 points in a 3 days. Basically had given up on speed games so my score went up & up. I decided one day to try out again a speedy and... Got sucked back into it! When i play speed games i almost never host and just join whatever crap is on vs anybody. The more you lose the more you want a revenge, and the more you lose again! I think it could be assimilated to point dumping as statistically playing 1v1s vs low rank can only make you lose tons of points even with a very decent win rate.

Re: Point Dumping
I don't care about point dumping and I don't have any f'ing idea why CC does. What the hell do I care if a cook gets 60 points? Why should anyone care, really? The system is all designed to even out. In fact; CC has sent a mixed message. We're supposed to worship these points, but then we can't put the option to play point tiers (meaning creating a minimum point level to join a game).

And at this second part (losing a motza for a loss) is where my suggestion comes:
