I think it should be a republic, which it kind of is. A select group of people vote and have athourity. But I think that the people of CC should select the select, the best candidate or the one with the most to offer. If it were a democracy then we would have raving idiots, such as this 'Whump' with their own little slice of power.

i think we should make an official poll (that lack should run) and pick the top 50 candidates to be mods, then narrow it down to a number like 15 or 10. sry lack, but its better if the members of CC chose the mods and not u by urself

Actually, Twill selects mods with input from the ModSquad and myself.

Tried this once before on another site - it's a disaster waiting to happen
And yes, the forum stuff you can blame me for, the rest you can blame Lack
CC tries to run with as much input from the community as possible. We implement a lot of features that are requested as fast as possible (Lack is only one man
), We give the forum a pretty free reign to go where it wants, we post maps which users make - the team here exists pretty much to make the community's wishes happen.
Now, arbitrary banning is not something that is going to happen, unless you can get 2/3rds of the active CC community to vote for banning someone (that means you only need about 12,000-13,000 votes)
