this is the kind of garbage that someone will get a warning for and no substantial ban. and if there is a ban, it will be 24 hours. luckily, andy is working towards changing the bigotry guidelines and their enforcement. trying to get this type of stuff correctly punished is like pulling teeth. people just don't get how offensive this is, and how truly wrong it is. this case is just another in a long line. luckily, the C&A mods will eventually have a new set of guidelines to help them deal with bigotry in a manner that is more appropriate to the violation. i applaud the member that turned this guy in. and i hope King Sam's suggestion of players losing game chat privileges over this kind of thing also becomes a reality... open and shut case here!!! get 'em lance!!!!!..-0

Wow. I'm speechless (and I'm sure a few good people who've seen my lengthy posts can respect the irony of that.)

Getting over my speechless moment for just a few seconds... let me say that this is appauling. The racism I won't even speak on, it would be beating a dead horse although it is the serious issue of my attention.

What I do find funny is the intent to gain the opponent's submission by hoping to both agree on bad dice. The concept that: "Well if you don't care about this game let me win and we'll play again" is ridiculous to me. Let's see how far I get if when I fall behind I ask people to throw the game and then start from scratch 2 more times. Puh-leez!

owen is exactly right. here is the thread that will hopefully take off and give the admin another tool to work with to correctly punish and eventually rid this site of this behavior. It has already gotten a good rapport from other CC members but the more the merrier. I ask that you please support it so we can change this. Thanks

i don't know why it matters when i posted or when you put the [Pending] on it... has nothing to do with what i stated. i think you guys do a great job, but i don't think bigotry is punished sufficiently, and now you guys are going to have a better set of guidelines to use as tools. no offense was meant by my post. i think you guys in C&A do a great job and are pretty much spot on with everything, and it is appreciate. i just don't agree with how bigotry has been handled here in the past, and it is obvious that andy is going to make changes. don't forget, i think you have become a MUCH BETTER mod here in C&A lance, i'd stick you in my top 3, easily... you do a great job, and i wasn't slagging on you or King A. sorry if you misunderstood...-0

No, the punishment is following the new Community Guidelines. He received a Formal Warning as described below:

Rule Enforcement

For users who break the above Guidelines, as they say, "there will be consequences and repercussions." The Mods and Admins will always take into account when past offenses occurred, and the severity of the current offense and any past offenses.

There are essentially Two Levels of Offense in Conquer Club: Minor and Major/Severe.

• Minor Offenses are those that are more annoying than hurtful with intent. This includes but is not limited to: Spamming, Off Topicing, Forms of Flaming/Trolling, Necro-bumping, Oversized Signature, Avatar Abuse, etc.
  Minor Offenses follow the traditional vacation escalation scale of:
  • Warning, 24 Hour Vacation, 72 Hour Vacation, One Week thru One Month Vacation, Permanent Vacation.
• Major/Severe Offenses are those that are more than just annoying, but are intentionally hurtful to a user, group of users, or the community in general. This includes but is not limited to: Cyber-bullying/Harassment, Bigotry, **Point Dumping** etc.
  Major/Severe Offenses follow a shortened vacation escalation scale of:
  • Warning, One Month Vacation, Permanent Vacation.
  **Note: Due to the nature of Point Dumping having an impact of the integrity of the game, your account will be suspended first until the issue can be resolved.**

• Warning
  
  • A user will almost always first receive a Warning from a Moderator or Admin for their first offense. A first offense may include, but is not limited to: Flaming outside the Flame Wars, Posting off topic, Improper use of avatar/signature, Harassing another user, Trolling a user's personal information, Improper use of ratings, etc.
  • There are two levels of warning, friendly and formal.
    
    • Friendly warnings are considered a reminder that you are near or just over the line of what is allowed and gives you the opportunity to make any necessary adjustments.
    • Formal warnings are more serious and should definitely be heeded. These are sent via PM with the title "Disciplinary Measures".
  • If you do get a warning from a mod, remember that "But this person broke the rule too" is not an excuse". Sure, lots of people are annoying, but that doesn't mean you're not. Don't try to deflect your guilt onto someone else. You broke a rule, own up to it and don't do it again. If someone else did break the rule, then report it using the "report post" button in the forum or PM a mod directly when in live chat. They may have already been warned even if it wasn't posted publicly.
