Re: Siege II -new map-
@ cw,
1.) The cannon tower is higher elevation and the bricks will eventually be enlarged to make it more clear.
It still seems like it would have to either be extremely large or extremely high up.
2.) the castle IS brown.
I meant the moats. The castles I have seen all had brown moats.

This doesn't work with only 4 games at a time...
It would take really long. Seems like a sound strategy though.

Re: Siege II -new map-
I don't like the cannon tower thing as part of the map. It looks nice, but not as a playable thing. Maybe for the title or something, but it is out of the regular scale.

Re: deathy game. day 1. Replacement Needed
Letting cops investigate themselves in larger games completely defeats the purpose of flavor cop, why would allowing to investigate themselves in a smaller game be better?

In all deathy games you can investigate yourself (and by all I mean the 5 or 6 I have played). I won last time here as mafia even though I could investigate myself.

I investigated myself and found that I was guilty which makes me either paranoid or insane.
Vodean, so when you investigated yourself you found you to be town?

Re: Rebellion in the Congo!
I like this map and I agree that we need more maps of Africa, but considering how bloody rebellions in that region have been known to get, I don't really think that it is wise to have a map of an ongoing rebellion. As the majority of people who have died in the more recent fights have been civilians ...

Re: Difficulty ratings for maps
As long as you have enough people doing it that you can get a pretty good agreement on everything, then volunteers would work. Perhaps by comparing everything to one map, classic for example, you could do it more objectively. It is easier to analyze how much harder something is than something else ...

Re: Limit New Players to Classic AND unlock maps over time...
Anyone have any thoughts on which maps should be the first to let new players access?
All of the maps.
Well, all of the maps woul dbe too many. As you probably don't know, lackattack limits access to the maps for the first 5 games that new players play.

Re: Conquer Club Generic-Brand Divine Meteorological Condition
I could see this being a combination of research and conquer and arms race. If you pray a bunch you can eventually bombard, but then also you could pray for other things. I don't really know but I think that a more mystical element could definitely make a good map.

So, I'll start by saying that my family is rich. We make over 250,000 a year, and so we are rich.
Once you subtract money for collage payments, taxes and bills (heating, electric, etc.) we have about 100,000 each year for expenses and luxury for 4 people. This is a perfectly reasonable amount.

Re: Can you imagine a Foundry with No Stamps?
It is fine now. it takes a long time and keeps people who can't make good maps from getting their stuff quenched (like me) but makes it so that good people also have to prove each of their maps. I know that some people (qwert) would like to see a system where all maps by a good maker get passed and ...

Re: Baltic States - Bonus discussion.
I don't know, it doesn't really lend itself to impassible, and I like the openness. In a 8 player game, yes I think it would not play well because of the difficult bonuses, but I think people know better than to play settings that aren't ideal. Small games would be fine.
