Re: Research & Conquer [24 Oct 2013] V37 pg 103
I must say it's awesome to see that at long last this map is going to go live. I'll go and fill my queue with it once it hits Beta.

Re: Battle for the Spice Islands Pg4
Extremely tiny nitpick, but saying "Four spices for monopoly" somewhat implies that there are more than four spices when as best I can tell there are only four. Perhaps "All spices" or "All four spices" to clear up the verbiage? You have space to make that two lines if needed.

Re: Research & Conquer
I've done a lot of thinking about this map and my ability to do the necessary improvements over the past several days. I can't do it. My drive to do anything in Photoshop or on this site is essentially negative at this point. I go to work every day and get paid to do that, and I enjoy it. I do not ...

Re: Research & Conquer
With the pen tool only pixels, but if I make them 2 px then do a uniform blur or the like on the edges it'll seem 1.5.

Re: Research & Conquer
The lines are already 2 px. I likely can do a subtle blur to make them 1.5 px in size, because 1 px looks HORRIBLE.

I'm going to ask right now that the graphics stamp be revoked. The level of stuff I'm being asked is not indicative of "tweaks" at this point.

Re: [Vacation - valid untill Feb 2012] - Research & Conquer
I appreciate your valuable contribution to this thread by reminding me why I quit working on it back in August. As has been covered by me and several others, we have different stylistic expectations out of this map. There is nothing wrong with either view, and since I am the one making this map I ...

The small is already supersized. It's 712x700 atm. The large isn't supersized, and doesn't need to be.

Re: [Vacation - valid untill Feb 2012] - Research & Conquer
I am happy to report that I have made some progress on getting Version 16 set. Only crummy bit is that what is done on the large has to get done on the small. This is what I get for not having enough graphics comments when the map was only one version.

Re: [Vacation - valid untill Feb 2012] - Research & Conquer
Map development will continue in the very near future. I had a really nasty disinterest in CC after a nasty cocktail of post-deployment stress and reestablishing a routine back in the US of A. I'm steadily getting back into it, but as you can tell by my utter non-existence on the forums for the past ...

Re: Baltic States: [25 OCT 2011] v12 Pg 13 Bonus Structure
That sounds fair, and it's not a limiter seeing as that bonus can be expanded out of in two directions (unlike certain Classic bonuses *coughaustraliacough*).

Re: Baltic States: [25 OCT 2011] v12 Pg 13 Bonus Structure
I agree with ian's concern. With it being a corner bonus, it'll be a total shoe-in +2 for anyone who decided to focus on that corner. In the early game it'll be hard to hold, but by the mid-game it might very well be the Most Effective Bonus.

Re: Trench warfare1917 V10 [22 Okt. 11] pg.5
I'm going to disagree on the Field Hospital being safe. The Geneva Conventions came into effect BECAUSE of this war, where the most inhumane things ever used in war were employed (gas being the most famous one). So having a Geneva Conventions-based rule in the mix would be un-authentic.

Re: Fonts
I'm not at my primary computer to give font totals, but I employ a similar setup as MrBenn and DiM. Whenever I start a project I look for a font that matches what style I'm going for, download it, and go from there. R&C saw me putting 3 new fonts on my computer and employing a fourth that was ...

Inland Saut and Gerehu should switch places. The rest follow a fairly logical North-South-West-East approach.

Re: Pot Mosbi [18.10.11] V5 - legend adjustments
I really don't like the continent explanation. As the continents are presently arranged in the legend, they don't match up with where they are on the map. Would it be possible to move the legend's continents so they are roughly below the continents in question? I realize this isn't possible with the ...

The "+" on +1 Autodeploy on Trenton is WAY too small. Cheat that one alone and make it a bigger font size.

Re: Inkling
Yeah, I bought a tablet (Intuos3) on the same expectation, and got rudely disappointed. I HAVE used it for territory lines and a few cases where I wanted a hand-touch on the map, but generally speaking my ability to draw freehand anything organic still sucks. Now if you want me to craft cool-looking ...
