Re: Drug Tests for Welfare Recipients
Utterly fucking silly law. Typical right wing populists cashing on the fearmongering.
So, they won't give welfare money if you test positive on a "drug". Then the drug addicts will just have to steal even more, there will be more crime, more deaths, starvation, disease, etc. Not to mention people ...

Yeah I heard some politician on TV last night spouting a new report about how Americans WAY overuse mammograms and prostate cancer testing.....This is how you report "you can't get mammograms or prostate cancer tests anymore"

Re: Obamacare prepping to ruin everything
New guidelines from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force say that women age 40 to 49 don't need to have routine mammograms anymore and that breast self-exams aren't recommended in general. The group found no evidence that self-exams reduce breast cancer death rates, and it discourages teaching ...

Hurt by it? How are they hurt by it? More so than the rich people? Did they contribute to the thing that's causing this pain? Don't get much benefit? By whose accord? Did their homes have electricity so they could watch TV? Was there gasoline available at the filling station for their cars?

Re: Socialized Healthcare
Anyway, my major problems with the bill are that (1) it could lead to government-run healthcare (we already have socialism in healthcare so whether the bill provides for that or not is a moot point), and (2) it does more than what the supporters of a health insurance bill want it to do. All the ...

This says to me that if you have individual health coverage, that you are grandfathered in to keep it if you want... but if you lose that coverage, you will either have to take government coverage, or you better be getting coverage from an employer. How do you read this differently?
