Advance all option

Now that CC has a Do or Die button, it should consider adding an "Advance All" option.

This allows you to automatically advance all armies when performing a Do or Die attack.

I can display the password as a password field, but that really only prevents people on your system from getting your password. There is fundamental insecurity in passing passwords to websites unless you use SSL, which neither CC or GS use.

i agree with x. you should use a hashing algorithm to ...

Logging in the first time to GS involves downloading a large amount of javascript which is then cached and shouldn't need to be downloaded again. So that message should ...

Andy or other mod, maybe you should lock this thread, i thought Lack didnt want this site to be part of the massive commecialisation of the world.

It is an off topic discussion area. What exactly don't you understand about that?

Grand Strategy is hardly a large commercial site. It provides a ...

New scoring method

We have implemented awarding scoring for each player eliminated when they are eliminated.

The scoring method is also available for team games (differs from CC's Terminator).

Interdiction
This mode of play is centered around the ownership by each player of a Capital, a designated territory. All army deployments must be in a territory that is connected to the player's Capital. Capitals are automatically issued to all players prior to the first round. The player is ...

Of course you would consider GS to better than CC, it's your baby.

When GS was first released I considered CC to be better and I think I said as much in this thread.

However, GS has made major improvements on the user interface that edged it in front of CC.

Turn time remaining on ...

This game is a complete rip off of CC and it is nowhere near as good. Oh and by the way you shouldn't be advertising your game in the CC chatrooms. Do it the fair way.

I consider GS to be a much better risk gaming experience than CC. It plays much faster. Things like being able to click on ...

Certainly, just last week we opened a GS Yahoo Group. I welcome you to post all of your GS questions there:

Or, as a moderator I recommend that you ask people to post their GS related queries there.

Grand Stratergy is laggy and so is Landgrab, half the time Landgrab doesnt even load.

Also, Grand Strategy allow you to simply click on the armies on the map to select them for deployment, attack and fortify.

That feature right there makes up for:

(1) aggravation from searching through ...

I've also checked out grand strategy...

Cons:

The main problem for me is how long it takes to load after you sign in...

Another problem with speed I noticed is attacking, advancing troops, ending attacks and fortifying commands all seem to be delayed a little bit compared to CC.

This ...

The do-or-die button may speed the game up, but the site itself is slooow.
It takes longer to navigate through the site.

i had a go of grand stratergy today and its so slow. so i say just stick with cc.

There's a couple things at GS that actually make it faster to play your games than CC:

Do or Die button: you don't have to press attack 50 times when fighting 30 vs 30 armies. This makes cleaning up countries ...

I like CC's Asia map better - it's one of my faves! The one way routes and less-cartoony like coloring make it fun to play and more visually appealing.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. 1/3 of the CC Asia map is devoted to a large dragon, complete waste of space.
