I can do it, I'll just need extensive training in the syntax of CSS, PHP, javascript and the knowledge of how phpBB forum software works. I'll also need slightly less extensive training in HTML. The good news is I got Turing down PAT! :D

Yeah, that's kind of my problem. I know I don't fit guru level, but I know a bit about the 3 guru level required parts.

I do a virtual crap ton of javascript at my work, including forcing it to read from and write to databases, which is a pain as you pretty much need 3 languages and some action scripts and a very very good understanding of what session is.

I pretty much know this much...

1) I currently work 18-40 hours a week already.
2) I'm not ready to quit that job to apply for this one, especially since it looks project oriented (as in, project done then you wave goodbye).
3) I'm also a full time student in college.

Hopefully they can find their guru level guy. [-o<

If not... Well after their second casting call I might finally bother putting my portfolio together.

Coleman, you need to hire me as your assistant. That way, you'll have more time to put into CC. LOL

Rocketry, yes it is, it's right there in front of you :)

Chadwick, that's exactly why I went into community management - it's much easier to bullshit your way through :D

Keep the resumes coming folks. The more people apply, the better the chance that CC will rock even more socks off.

Believe me, when we hire someone, we're going to be taking as much of their time as we can...if they have time to teach you, we obviously aren't pushing them hard enough

I know a computer nerd, I'll see if he's up to it. Also, I'm ok with computers and I work for free. ;)

Question: if you put free work you did on your resume, will that make potential employers think to pay you less or something?

I wouldn't suspect so, simply because with any work your skills are improving.

I wouldn't worry about it, but if you want, I can offer you 75% more pay than you got at one of those free jobs if you'd like.

You don't write whether you were paid or not on the resume so it should have no effect. If you do volunteer work it would usually be seen as a positive quality because it shows you are willing to work for reasons other than money.

Don't work for that cheapskate fitz... I'll double the pay, plus I'll give a 50% overtime loading and pay an additional 15% of your pay into a pension fund. Salary sacrificing is also available.
