So docks can attack docks, but only if they're part of the same sea? And of course docks can attack adjacent seas. And shouldn't Manau be in blue, since it's a dock?
It's an interesting map. I'm just trying to get a handle on it (while colossally intoxicated, but nevertheless).

I've not commented in the foundry for a fair while, but as this borders professional interest (I'm a historian) I'd like to make a few suggestions (of a historical nature).
There wasn't a caste at Cardiff in anything like the modern sense of the word. There was a Roman fort, but it fell into disuse after the Romans left. The only Welsh castle applicable to the period would really be Dinefwr, although even then its more tradition than evidence. That would come in Defet province, as its near Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, but you could get away with it being in Cardiff. That said, Gwent would be a better name for Cardiff as a province. Furthermore, ball room is a little silly. I know the castle plans don't realate to real life, which is fine, but perhaps it should be courtyard?
Dornsatete should be Dornsaete.
Londonwic wasn't really the city, that was the name of the Saxon trading villiage to the west. The walled city itself would be Londonburh. The Seaxe name is applicable to a degree (although it did come under Mercian control too) but I'd go with E. Seaxe, because it makes it seem like the centre of Saxon power at the moment (which it wasn't to any degree). It wasn't a castle, anyway, but a walled town. Don't know how this affects the map, really...
Other than that, liking it a lot!

Well cardiff the castle can become Dinefwr, and the territory can become gwent easily enough. The changing of names in the castle will be easy as well.

Easily changed.

So are you saying i should call the castle Londonburh or E. Seaxe?
Also as walled towns go, i think changing it would be not worth it in the long run. Because most of the legend would have to change to accommodate a walled town as well as 3 castles

Nice to see a historian here Guis
Defet is a tad small for a province. I origionally had the castle as langurig in pouis. Maybe we should move back to that?
Call the territ. E Seaxe, Call the city Londonburh (I had no idea about that one, interesting bit of information)
Thanks.

Good stuff. The city / settlement thing is actually something I wasn't aware of until I availed myself of my yearly guilty pleasure - Bernard Cornwell novels.

A good series, actually, if you're interested in the period. Not too far off historically, and he makes you well aware of the bits he has made up.

Sorry i forgot all about that. I will get it done with the next update.

It was 'slightly' too long to fit, so i had to abbreviate it to North.

I can easily make it 700x700. Is that preferable?

Any progress on the change of name for Cardiff I suggested earlier?
Furthermore, I'd really like to see Northumberland if at all possible. It is an important name from the period, a key area of Dark Age Britain, and one still with us today, and I think the map would benefit from having it written out in full.

alright, I'd like to see some maps getting forged under my watch, so let's see what this needs, eh?
For starters, I feel as if many elements of the large map are a touch fuzzy-looking. The "Cardiff" territory title is especially blurry, as is much of the text in the legend. And the borders have a general haziness to them, as if my eyes are just out of focus when I look at this.
I hate to keep harping on this, but it looks as if two territories in Tenenhair can hit and be hit from outside, Gate and Chapel... is this correct? Perhaps if you flipped the colors so that Gate and the actual walkway were the same? And maybe the trouble is that there's no border between terits within the castles other than color change, and my eyes don't pick up all of the distinctions.
Back to color: picking up the color of a small word against a similar background will always be tricky for a genetically-challenged guy like me. So figuring out the color of the "Pictland" title and matching it to some thin lines is murder. It would solve the problem to lightly run the region name under the territories somehow.
Also, does Dorgig hit Cantwane? The water doesn't fully run between the two territories, so I'm not sure but I think it doesn't.
Anybody else think that this font is a bit hard to read? I'm guessing at the terit names.
