Bodyguard tourney

Post by okiewind7 »

How about a bodyguard tourney, I thght maybe u could have six people on a game and each person is assigned a person to protect. if your man dies then u are out of the tourney. real fresh idea so any feedback on this would be appreciated for more specifics. would probably need several games going and maybe the guy who wins, him and his body guard get to advance to the next level of the tourney.

Idea

Post by Blitzaholic »

I like that NFL set, excellent idea, I also if any one is interested had an idea a creating a map with many lands, could any one develop a map that would consist on tons of territories and continents, like that New North America Map, now that is sweet, something even with more lands, so it could make triples games last longer to win, jsut a suggestion, but the NFL concept is cool, but designers of maps was just another idea.

On the BodyGuard tourney even if you die but the guy your protecting wins the game then u still advance to the next level.

sounds cool if it is doubles 6 player and then it should be like 2 or 4 game rounds because then the positions (bodygaurd etc.) can be switched

Hey im new to CC but I think a USApocalypse tourney to see who would win in the event of Nuclear War would be cool

i think it would be a good idea to have a tourny based on WWII. There would be 36 players, divided into two teams, the Axis and Allies, and have a triples match in Asia, Europe, Germany, Philippines, Africa, and Hong Kong, and which side won the most matches would win the war.(and the tourny)

risk tournament

Post by FireEagle »

I think it would be cool (cuz I can't get to Pennsylvania) to host a tournament based on the rules of the International Risk Tournament of Champions ( http://www.risktoc.org ). It's pretty basic, but it seems that most tourneys avoid the Classic map like the plague, and we can see who's the best original Risk player. If the International Tourney won't come to me, I'll bring it to Conquer Club!

Just a thought.

Post by hasaki »

Has anyone thought to run tournaments on new maps before they become public? Just small ones. Say the top 16 players that sign up.
There can only be one. OK sometimes two or three.

Tournys tend to last weeks, even months. I dont think the rest of the site would want to wait while the 16 lucky people played a series of games on the new map.

King of the hill... Tourney?

Post by Sikkram »

Forgive me if there is already a tournament for this but I didn't see one!

A king of the hill tournament will be doubles teams competing for the title of each map.
The winners will be named King of the Hill of that map till challenged and beaten by another team. It would have to be best 2 out of 3 probably.
Some of the higher ranking players will probably even try to be King of several different maps. I'm not sure if that should be possible, but this is just an idea.. Anyone is welcome to run with, It sounds intresting to me...
I'd play or compete!

Yeah, I posted this in general hoping if someone liked it they could take it on... ( It will be pretty expansive), but it was moved here.
If anyone has the time and ability (and a noticeable name so your posts don't get moved) you are welcome to it.
