As I'm sure most of you know, we've been blessed with 8 Player Games for a while now. What a riot they are! But when we released them, the additional colors were far from being the most clear, readable, etc. We heard your cries of woe ("Is that Orange...I can't tell!"), and as some of you may know we set up an Ad-Hoc focus group to help us select better colors for 8 Player Games. The "Color Committee" was a huge success, and I'd like to thank each and everyone who helped participate in the discussion and the decision of new colors. Your service in helping better Conquer Club is much appreciated by us all!The colors as they will appear on the map:
#FF0000: Red (Both Same)
#009A04: Green (Both Same)
#0000FF: Blue (Both Same)
#FFFF00: Yellow (Bright)
#FF00FF: Pink (Both Same)
#00FFFF: Cyan (Bright)
#FF9922: Orange (Both Same)
#7F7F7F: Slate (Both Same)
Neutral is WhiteThese colors will appear in all 'Gray Interface Areas':
Also note that PINK and CYAN are now switched in the color order for clarity.
(I.E. Log Window, Chat Window, Player Info Widow)
#FF0000: Red (Both Same)
#009A04: Green (Both Same)
#0000FF: Blue (Both Same)
#DDDD00: Yellow (Muted)
#FF00FF: Pink (Both Same)
#00CCCC: Cyan (Muted)
#FF9922: Orange (Both Same)
#7F7F7F: Slate (Both Same)
Neutral is Black
=========================
And so those are the changes we've got in store! The new colors will be uploaded at 11 AM EST. So keep your eyes out!
And also keep your eyes out for more Ad-Hoc advisory groups to be used in the future! We want you all to help in creating a better Conquer Club, and I know that with all the talent, skill, and enthusiasm we have here...the sky is no limit!
Once again, yhanks to all those who helped us out. Enjoy your games and get back to World Domination!

pink and red
Not to be a downer or anything, but I've noticed that when the colors red and pink are on off red, pink, or purple countries, it becomes very hard to tell the difference.
After the switch, a couple of my colors changed from cyan to pink, and while one of the maps is a gray scale background (and I can tell the difference fine), the other is on canada and south africa of the World 2.1 map, and I am now struggling to tell which territories are mine, and which ones Red just took from me.

New Colours
Thank you very much for the much needed improvement in the color schemes and order, it makes it much easier to determine if you can wipe out an opponent, and who occupies what territories on the game boards.

8 player game color
I personally don't like it. Now i can barely tell a difference between orange and yellow. I had a little trouble before, but this is no good. These are my proposed colors for an 8 player game: Red, then Blue, then Yellow (primaries first), then Green, then Violet, then Orange (secondaries second), then Teal, then Black. Neutral can still be white. That was a good idea. Just read and consider. Thx.

p.s. I simply use the color codes all of the time. Good advice for those that cont tell a difference. Thx for making that available.

I agree, even though I'm an American. For some reason it just doesn't seem right without the "u" in there. Must have gotten that from my English grandmother. Always got in trouble in school because I spelled colour wrong (or so the teachers said)

The colors are OK, good job!
But... your PINK is MAGENTA, and your ORAGNE is LIGHT BROWN...
or am I color blind? (no, it's not my display; and not my eyes either).
Don't they teach "colors" in elementary schools anymore? or just (oh, I hate this one) google it, or something. It's like so many of the players refer to cyan as "teal"---mind buggling, it truly is!
