I used to think Marv was the best player, he tought me alot of what i know today, then i sorted lost contact with him a little. I now think Scorba is by far the best player to be on cc, his domination over ever is immence, and he also has taught me alot as well as being a good friend :) Your the man scorba!!!!!!!! :) :)

Riyanna wrote:Best player? Of course that's Marvaddin. There has not been a single game in which I have played with or against him that he hasn't won (Until qeee1 showed up in one of them). Make sure you choose sides carefully when Marv is playing.

Other players I admire are Scorba for his chilling calm in tense situations, Master Cheif for his bold, daring, courageous, and oftentimes reckless offensives, Fireside Poet for his perseverance, maniacmath17 for his planning and judgement. Wacicha, KoolBak, and many, many others also deserve to be on this list for qualities that transcend the game.

Perseverance .. heh nice word for "you're terrible!" .. kidding.

Gotta say that the attitude and dignity that Riyanna shows in winning and defeat are oustanding. I've been on both sides, though more on the latter, than I care to discuss, but she is impressive to say the least.

I'm on for it any time Marv, especially with my shiny new premium membership *snuggles membership*, just send me the number. Might I suggest flat rate this time though?

Riyanna has a great attitude towards the game, not like mine. I tend to get annoyed when I'm losing, as some of you might know. :D

Philbert and bretzky are another two players to avoid if you hope to win.

You will have more contact with me soon... and by the way I will teach you to respect me again

But I admit, Scorba dominates almost all the games we play together. The escalating game he failed to kill me for 1 army, and then the another guy lost a turn instead of kill me is unforgetable. He is not only a great player, but also very lucky... Curse you, Scorba! :)

Hmmm, I have a bullet with your name, qeee1... How about one escalating and one flat rate? What map?

the best singles player will be whoever wins my Champion of Champions Tournament, which was set up to pitch the top 64 against each other in singles matches - all 64 entrants brave enough to join were within the top 90 on the scoreboard at the time.

meanwhile, if you're reading this and you haven't joined the 512 player singles tourney in callouts, why not?

Any map you want Marv. I'm open to anything except USA Apoc.

And a tournament doesn't really decide who's the best player, anyone can have a bad/unlucky game in a tourney. Also the question of game type is raised.

And I'm not just saying that because I lost my game. :P

yeah - I know that, a league on different formats would be a better proof...

...but I just wanted to blatantly promote my tournaments! :P

I like Steve's Best of the Best tournament a lot. My game still hasn't ended so I'm not certain if I'll make it beyond the first round, but its been fun and I've liked following the progression of the other games as well.

I just happened to get AndrewO as an opponent who has perhaps been in more extremely long flat rate games than anyone else I've seen. And carmoil has had a few himself, so we are currently locked in stalemate :P

I did an extremely risky move to take out Pilate and lost on 4v1 in the end. The other remaining player swooped in and took him out and won the game.

Hehe, yea that was a fun game. He really thought that he could hold africa, which I think is one of the hardest continents to hold. And then I guess he just figured europe was a bigger threat than SA since it gets a bigger bonus.

He actually had me sweating it out at the end there, It was close for a while, but he didn't know that when it's down to 1 vs 1, building up 1 continent won't get you very far, lol.

I'd probably have lost vs a more experienced player.

again! maniacmath, awesome player.
playing in a game with all maj, and col. i had just fortified australia and was thinking i was kicking but. i don't think anyone else had fortified a area yet.
i go the next day to take my turn and i see the game has ended with my name sadly scratched out. I thought how in the hell. he wipped all of us out in one turn. all i could think is that little "hehe" he leaves after he abuses you.
maniacmath you rule at conquerclub...... you are my hero! ok maybe a little overboard but great player
