Anyone want a swedish map?

I've started to built it, have no idea how to go further on with it.
so tell me if you want it or not and I'll learn how to finish it.
also give me ideas on how to improve the design.
do you have other backgrounds or ideas for a background that would look better?
I'm happy for every feedback.

I know there is a Scandanavian Map but its ok to have a map on a more specific area.

Now, the main problem with the map you posted is there are only three continents. Try making more countries in Norrland, then splitting them into two continents. You might also want to split Gotaland into two continents also.

Looks good, but if you do pursue it, you might wanna replace the background, the phallus shaped country with the god (thor?) is just a bit of overkill in that dept :lol:

anyway, see what people think about having a sweden map along with the scandanavian map, it takes a lot of time and energy to create a map for this site

Long skinny maps aren't really good. (Indochina)

Well, the map is already a bit messy, so making the "countries" smaller would make it a real mess, but I'm gonna think about it.

Yeah, I think I need a better background too, just didn't find anything good.

and we'll see if people want this map because of the scandinavian map going on... but time and energy? what is it that has to be done? I've already done the XML.

I maybe could divide Lappland into 2 or maybe 3 pieces and then make North Norrland and Soth Norrland.

Ohhh.. and about the size, this is the small map 600px wide, and it is already 647 heigh, so I don't know if I should make a large map of it... that would be 800x862

I think it needs more than 3 continents personally, idk like I don't think I would play it just because of that. Sounds harsh but true. Other than that it looks good to me.

You have graphic skills, mate, this is very good. So, I think you should help the guys with Scandinavia map. Nothing against Sweden, but if you really want do it, I think we can have a larger map, with more territories, more continents, and less bottlenecks. As it is now, I think the continents are very difficult, for a small map... when someone hold them, game is almost over already... and for a little bonus, too, only 3 armies. Also, you will only need to defend 2 countries in many situations... And some borders are confuse, like Vastmanland - Gastrikland and Bohuslan - Halland. As I said, maybe a larger map can make borders clear, and allow more countries, continents, and more interesting borders... But in fact I would like to see it in Scandinavia map.

One more word: what a wasted space in this map, huh?

I did help them on the scandinavian map...
not as happy with that as I am with this one, but whatever...

I agree on the negatives you said, but I can't really change Sweden.
but the borders like you said could be made a bit more clear.

Maybe its not accurate, but if increasing West-East a bit over the right proportion will give you a hand, I would try it. Or maybe give it a more inclined prespective... Again, a larger image could help too... and maybe some more islands... As a big sequence of bottlenecks, this map is not so interesting as it could be... I hope you split yet some countries, too...

Would be really fun with a map of Sweden.

I believe the game would be intensive. Good or bad.

It needs much testing but I would be glad to help you out.

defenitily not ready to play

make anather font, i don't like this one
i don't like that u use more colors for the same color, (make the northern continent all brown ect.)
there are no sea-routes make them
i see no texture in the map
and i think the background must be the sea and the lands that are unplayable like norway and denmakr etc.

then not forgot that you must have 2 formats of maps, this one is the tiny one, you must also make a big one

much work to do

Sorry to bring u the bad news but RexRegis told me that aint finishing this one, at least not now with so much to in school. But he said if someone wants to finish it he would gladly give it away so someone could finsih it.

You might want to break Gotland into Westgotland and Ostergotland (Sorry about the spelling). This would allow for an extra "continent".
