Adjacent fort on these maps is going to continue to make the games. So. Slow.
Think about how long it takes to get those armies from castles to the front...or else you have to sit and build and build and not do anything.
Can you switch the settings to chained or unlimited for the remaining rounds?
Just a thought.....
A couple of thoughts:
One, I'm one player who enjoys this tournament because it is adjacent settings, the style of game I prefer.
Two, it may just be me, but I don't see an issue with games going longer??? As the tourney was clear all games were to be adjacent I would think players would recognize games will likely not be completed in a couple of days. Just an opinion though

The decision to use adjacent fort was deliberate to make the game play more strategic and complex. Part of the challenge of any campaign is getting your troops to the front without being sacked, figuring how to divide your armies, establish defenses, and so on.
Take consoluation that as you get into the other maps where pair and village bonuses are deployable, the games may go somewhat faster... and be simpler to get armies to the front lines if that is your strategy.
When it comes down to the finals I will consider changing the fort setting if all four finalists request it.

Re: 6-man Fog of War Tournament [Last Qualifying Round - Magic]
Updated... one more match to conclude for finalists to be chosen.
Query to wolfmaster, 4V4T4R, and friendly1 - the 3 who have already qualified for the finals - would you object to qualifying the top three finishers from the wildcard game, rather than just the top 1? This will let close out the finals roster a little faster as soon as there are 3 eliminations, rather than waiting for the entire wildcard game to conclude.

sounds good to me

Bump - finalists have qualified. We are keeping the four finalist format. Looking at using Age of Mayhem as the fourth "castle start" map for the finals...
My ever constant two last games seem to have no end in sight!

Re: 6-man Fog of War Tournament [Congratulations Wolfmaster]
The tournament has concluded. Thanks to everyone who played in this my first tournament as organizer. Results are posted on page 1.
After a couple of other tournament ideas which did not quite get off the ground, my next project is a tournament that follows a parallel plot to the 7 books of the Dark Tower cycle by Stephen King. Space appears to be filling up well, so check it out: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=55283. There will be FOW games, but, alas, none of the favorite "castle" maps. It should be interesting and somewhat innovative... and slightly more fast paced
