Feedback is worth what??? [Outdated]

Post by NewMercy »

Someone please explain to me the value of feedback when it is abused so much. I rarely leave negative feedback. I rarely get negative feedback. I don't complain when the negative feedback I received was ridiculous...I figure people can decipher for themselves it's validity. But now...I am alittle miffed. I left an honest negative feedback because the player was making crude, rude, and disgusting comments. I thought others should beaware of this and should they decide to play him, they can atleast ignore the chat. I am very disappoint to find...that my feedback was deleted because it was unwarranted. Deleted because of what....and for those of you who are interested...sorry...you can't read the chat from the game...because it's been deleted too. I think this means...feedback is worth...what???

The chat wasn't deleted. You just can't read it, because you've added btown to your 'foe' list.

a very good point, I feel that under no circumstances should feedback be deleted.
Let the individuals edit it if they choose, but lets keep the mods hands off of it.

So much? You're complaining about one feedback that you left and was delted.

Feedback isn't perfect, but it generally gives you an idea of how the player is seen in the community (how many people took the time to write about how they played, at least) and gives you reference as to what they are like and sometimes how they play like.

You can get unwarrented feedback removed?? What decides if it's "unwarrented" and who do you have to talk to?

The Mods decide. Fill out an e-ticket (look at the help page) and they'll have a look.

Well generally when you see that someone has a bunch of negatives, you hesitate in playing them because more than 1 person don't like something about them.
But what you said I really don't know, if you left and honest feedback that was true, and it got deleted, who knows. Maybe they need to limit the ways to delete feedback.

I disagree Sir. Ricco, feedback has spared me playing many games with assholes and idiots.

Exactly...case and point....you will not be spared from the one I played...and unfortunately...you can't hear my voice either...that is censorship!

I read negative feedback because someone who has a lot is usually a jerk. Sometimes someone just played jerks, deabeated due to an emergency or some such, but that's why I read the negs, to find out.

I look at the positives, but more as reassurance. I don't need to read 100 people saying "this is a nice player"... I see 100 positives and that speaks for itself. Negs and neutrals are so variable, I read them.

Per your issue, I don't know why your feedback was removed, unless you swore or it was "retaliatory" (he gave me a neg, so I am going to neg back).

I had one removed from my file once because it was retaliatory. The guy was a complete jerk. I gave him my first neg. He came back and outright said "I was just going to give you a neutral, but you gave me a neg". So, it was deleted. Really, the only reason I even asked was because I wanted him absolutely clear that his actions were incorrect for CC.

From my point of view, feedback is great, I can leave multiple comments on people on the same day, but feedback is also flawed, people leave outrageous comments about how people have played, and what they did. People say thing's that are made up, from what the answereres say, I think feedback should go through mods 1st, to see if it meets guidlines .

Feedback is worth 25 USD, I'll give you one if you pay for my premium.

how dare you not play as fast as he wanted you to play!!! i mean, taking your turn within the given 24 hour is just ridiculous! i hope you learned your lesson... wow... neg for not playing fast enough...-0

Negative Terrible experience playing with this player. Was the last to finish each and every round. Dragged the game out big-time and made it very un-enjoyable. Will never play again, ignore listed! Be sure to leave your retaliatory feedback as well. I cant wait! 2008-05-03 16:45:48 - Theguyoverthere: pretty please don't leave a negative though. Seems some1 knows there play is cheap!

Theguyoverthere's response: I think my strategy was just fine, if you disagree with it, then I'm sorry.

I have joined player's games because of their neg feedback... "sez stupid stuff in the game chat" is one I remember and since I'd rather have a little banter in the game I jumped in... and the son-of-a-bitch not only uses the game chat... but is a tough competitor. So now I join all his games when I see them.

i tend to ignore feedback
the only ones i pay attn to is if they have alot for deadbeating or for bad team play...or if they are getting feedback from certain people
say for example this guy has 15 negs for bad team play from complete randoms
but he has a few positives from players like blitz warstein etc then i would generally take their word that being said all my negs are a joke lol
the new feedback system will be much better

I know, right? It was a speed game too... speed game freestyles are SUPPOSED to come down to the last couple seconds... It's also ironic because half the time when he was yelling at me to play, he hadn't playn himself!

I tried a couple times to get this removed, but the mods insist that it's warented because he "dsiagreed with my playing strategy"... even though I won... and I broke no rules.....

Wow...this is something I hadn't thought of...and a new twist on strategy that I hadn't thought of. I think this may have been the case in my situation, which isn't the part that irritates me. What irritates me is that my feedback for this guy was removed. He lost the game which is why I think he was being ridiculously crass. i don't mind that he was a jerk...I mind that when I said so...my feedback was removed...which is basically saying...shut up! Thanks mods...I don't have a reputation for ever being unreasonable with my feedback. Also, I think it is just fun to keep a thread going if you know what I mean.
