You have to include Engels with Marx. They can't be separated, and I don't know why so many people do.

Like Watson and Crick, or Crockett and Tubbs.

I was gonna say that he belonged in the discussion if jesus does. Also Mohammed and the Buddha.

But my ultimate vote would have to go to Gutenberg.

Actually the correct answer of modern times is Issac Newton (it would be Leonardo DaVinci if he wasn't such a secretive and eccentric fellow about 250 years ahead of his time).

For ancient times, the correct answer would be Abraham since he is arguably the source of 4 of the big 6 religions (Hindu and Buddism the exceptions, and Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Greek Orthodox being the 4)

You don't consider Greek Orthodox to be Christian? What about Russian Orthodox?

Orthodox are Christians. They seperated with the catholics in 1054 because of the figluoque or something. The reason was that the pope wanted more power and the patriach did the same.

Go back a little further then that, and it came down too Saints, Statues, and pictures for the divide.

Yah, but the official split was in 1054. Though I would still call Russian and Greek Orthodox Christians.
