Europe 1914.
On 28 June 1914, Gavrilo Princip, a Bosnian Serb student, shot and killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne in Sarajevo.
The Austro-Hungarian government used the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand as a pretext to deal with the Serbian question, supported by Germany. On 23 July 1914, an ultimatum was sent to Serbia with ten demands, some so extreme that the Serbian reply included reservations and rejected the sixth demand. The Serbians, relying on support from Russia, removed acceptance of the sixth key demand (the draft reply had accepted it), and also ordered mobilization. In response to this, Austria-Hungary issued a declaration of war on 28 July.

The Ottoman Empire is the only thing about this map really that makes it different from any other Europe map, isn't it?
But I understand there's a LONG way to go, you will change the gameplay and not just the graphics right?

These need big redesign.
Not just ottoman, you have austro hungarian empire, and german empire, also you have Russian empire. Balkan is also diferent then in other maps.

Oh right Austro-Hungary.

I'd like to see this map go further! There are a lot of different ways you can go with gameplay. It will be interesting to see.

Btw, that Simonov map cairns linked to is just the Diplomacy board with a legend :-s

Well all three is difernent and present only small part of WWI,expecialy Gallipoli these is one of smaller fronts like omaha beach.
I thinking that if i have free space on map to create several insets for main fronts-Western front-Thessalonika front-Eastern front, but these all depend on space.

The first map was more original. Going back to old frontiers in Europe is more interesting than the traditional Europe's map. The actual Europe map is really good, though taking a part of Africa.
On the second map, I should add that there are some split countries which make it less readable, then playable or enjoyable. For instance, France was cut into 2 (occupied zone and the other), not 3.

These borders is in 1914.Africa will not be on game.

Second map is only what i work far before in mine begining, when i dont know good how map is created. Mine new start begining from first map. Also i think that you confused with wars, these is not WWII,and France whas not occupied in any zones. ;)

Well colour will be change, aim just use these colour to not be white background.
But you right,i will not put some extra fancy colours, again i must try to create old map feel.

For a continent on the brink of war, the colors seem a bit too bright to me.

I like the idea of a border around the map, but I'd continue to rework it. The one you have presented now is almost too flashy and distracting.

I think the Legend needs reworking, at least the parts of Entente Powers and Central Powers

You don't need to write all the small kindoms in Entente Powers, I guess Russia, French and British would be enough.
In any case, your bonuses are close to that anyway.

Also, you didn't show connection to British islands, how will be the passing?
You can arrange Montenegro and Albania better, just putting M. and A is not so good I think

But map looks promising, I liked the outline especially.
One more thing, you can choose more distinctive and darker colors for continents. It would look better for a dark war :)

Keep up good work :) Cheers
