King of Fantasy [Round 1]

This tournament is essentially a tournament to test who is the best on the fantasy style maps. I am going to include five of the popular ones, namely Middle Earth, Discworld, and the three Age of Realms maps.

When a player enters they choose one of the maps. This will result in there being 9 players assigned to each map. Each set of 9 players is split into 3 groups of 3. Each group plays a game, with the winner progressing to the second round.

There will now be only 3 players left per map. Each set of 3 players plays a game. The winner of each game is proclaimed Champion of their map, and goes through to the final.

There will be 5 players in the final. To make things fair, the players will play 5 games, one on each of the different maps. The player who wins the most games is proclaimed the King of Fantasy!

In the event of the scores being level at the end of the final, another game will be played, randomly picked from the five maps. The winner of that will win.

Settings for all games will be: Standard, Sequential, Flat Rate, Chained. The Age of Realms maps will have fog, but Discworld and Middle Earth won't.

Non-premiums are welcome but must keep one slot open at all times. Only one game will be played at a time.

Up to 5 reserves will be accepted, one for each map.

I did say in my original post. Where it says "Non-premiums are welcome/allowed (or whatever I put), but must keep 1 slot open at all times. Only one game will be played at a time."

Signed everyone up. killmanic says that Age of Realms sucks without fog, so I'll change the AoR sections to fog. However, if people protest, I'll change it back. I'm just going on this guys word, as I've never played on Age of Realms myself.

Several things. Firstly, I've added the new players. Secondly, in response to yazoochick, I will see how this tournament goes. If I did a second edition, I would probably do it differently - when a player joined, they could pick whichever map they want out of the above five, Tamriel, and Feudal War (I don't know if it counts as fantasy). Finally, I've changed the format ever so slightly. Essentially the first two rounds are games of 3, not 4. This means that only 45 players are needed to start, as it seems that this tournament isn't filling as fast as I hoped.
