Wipe a Person Out of History

Post by jiminski »

Just imagine you could wipe-out any trace of someone. Not murder, so don't feel guilty about it, just the total obliteration of any trace of their very existence!

Would it be a religious figure? - lots of comfort but they do tend to provoke a little partisanship here and there.
Perhaps a historical Despot? - though without them the world may harbour greater disharmony; Could they act to galvanise good in the face of evil?
Maybe it is just some pillock with a guitar like Garth Brooks - the man is about as evil as they come!

Please share your thoughts if you have any.

*expunge*

This is a tough choice. A really tough choice. Wow, I have to think about this.

My gut reaction is the Duke of Wellington, but that's mainly because I worked for someone who ero-worshipped im, and I read up a lot and took an almost personal dislike to the twat.

It also told me a lot about my boss, that he would admire such a snobby rat.

Funny thing is.. French was the international language 100 years ago.

His military prowess was exaggerated. Mainly by himself.

Okay after thinking, I have concluded that - I cannot wipe out anybody from because each impacted on the way things are today.

tough one isn' it! but i reckon you could find a way to make it work! perhaps you could try to anticipate the chain of events which would bring us to the here and now?

for example: wipe out Fashion designer Rudi Gernreich (credited for introducing the modern thong in 1974) men in the latter part of the 20th century are not driven to extreme levels of sexual depravity; Impromptu unprotected pool-side sexual encounters are almost wiped-out
:- AIDS is localised to 5 Gay men in the Los Angeles area - Pandemic averted.

tricky. From a utitlitarian perspective it has to be stalin, surely, for having the most blood on his hands. I thought about marx, a step backwards if you like, but then he wasn't a mass murderer.

There used to be an old show where this guy would go around and fix errors in history. One of the themes was how even seemingly "good" choices, like saving a child, or deleting some horrible historical figure had unintended cinsequnces.

Take out Hitler, for example and maybe you end up with someone even worse.

But, if we can forget any such consequnces, then I'd say Hitler or Stalin.

Then again, maybe Columbus should be on that list?

That would have solved a few problems, for sure... ;)

Yeah, for real, what's wrong with Renee?

Except for being the slut in Empire Records, what movies has she ever done to make you doubt she would be the best girl-friend in the entire world?

She perpetually looks like she's been sucking on a lemon. Or a cats anus. Hard to tell which.

I voted for mohammed. I was watching the Tv last night after those 3 blokes were found guilty of planning to carry out acts of terrorism.
Some arab looking twat was interviewed and said "not all muslims are terrorists"
This is true, but in the last couple of years all terrorists are muslims.

I am not sure the Wiping of Mohamed would solve the present terrorist problem.
This batch of terrorism is the result of the Wests and earlier, Russian preoccupation with Middle-Eastern oil.
the political interference with Arab governments would still have occurred without any religion, as would the Iran v Iraq war, Desert Storm and our present occupation of the area.
Palestine? well ask yourself; would America be quite as keen on arming and protecting their sympathetic ally in the region (Israel) if it were not of such strategic importance?

So i don't reckon we can with all honesty blame Mo for terrorism.

We can blame Mo for his version of terrorism.

We can blame Mo for confusing soldiers with martyrs, and civilians with military targets.
