I think you need to complete both your other maps before considering starting another.

The Roman Empire at various stages in its history would make a fine set of maps, because the provinces could conveniently serve as countries. Continents could work a few ways (depending upon the era and the geography):

• Europe, Asia and Africa (obvious choice)

• Eastern and Western

• Western Europe, The Balkans, Asia Major/Asia Minor, North Africa

I can help, but between 2 jobs and school, I won't be what you might call "punctual"...

Actually my next project will be a map of the Roman Empire. Someone was working on it but apparently abandoned the idea. Once I finish the Malta map I will start working on it.

Qwert you should do a Serbia map! Or an ex-Yugoslavia map.

I would like to play on a Serbia map, or an ex-Yugoslavia map. You could have the states like Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, etc as regions. Then you could divide them up.

Greece just no... we have already.
From other options, Egypt could be the most interesting, since Persia is a region already covered by Middle East map.

Only to mention, Roman Empire idea was abandoned because it would be another Europe based map... I hope we can have new features, or it would really be alike to Europe map.

we don't need another mediterranean based map, you could try Eurasia contemporary to the Roman Empire, I toyed with that but couldn't pull it off

Ottoman Empire? Sure, it's partly Mediterranean, but it stretches east across Mesopotamia...

Try:

Feudal/Warring States China
Feudal Japan
Srivijaya (ancient Southeast Asia)

Inca/Aztec Empires
A linguistic map, perhaps, based on families (Indo-European, Semitic, Native American languages ... )
