Golf Course Map [Abondoned]

Post by KEYOGI »

Here's my idea:
    - 18 holes X 3 areas for each (tee, fairway, green) = 54 territories
    - Each hole is worth a bonus of 3-5, reflecting par = 72 total bonus
    - Rough, trees, water all act as impassable borders
    - Holes could be connected to each other either just from green to tee, or paths could be added
    - Possiblity to increase territories by adding club house, stands, facilities, etc
54 territories gives:
    - 18 territories for 3 player, 0 neutral
    - 13 territories for 4 player, 2 neutral
    - 10 territories for 5 player, 4 neutral
    - 9 territories for 6 player, 0 neutral

At the moment, this is just an idea in my head and I want to get an idea of the interest level of others. Also, this is a great opportunity to make suggestions before I start putting a lot of work into it.

Will have to see what you can create before i vote. Minigolf would work better i believe because many people see golf as a game of green and if you make different colour continents it would look odd.

Minigolf is a great idea, it'd really open up the impassable objects up to be all sorts of things. My only problem is I'm not sure I have the artistic skills to do Minigolf the justice it would deserve.

that map is not a bad idea. Just don't make it too complicated or otherwise, it can be a long talk about "what is happening to this map?"

So I think I'll pusue the idea, but I'll just come up with a rough draft first to get the basics down.

OMG, I didn't think this would be so hard. I just can't do the idea in my head justice. I'll try again at some other point, but this is just too frustrating at the moment.

I did have an idea though. Having hazards and such being worth -1. I guess you wouldn't be able to have too many of them though. I also think they should just be neutral territories.

I love golf, and think that if you smooth off the edges, this is a great idea

I think that 18 continents of 3 is too many continents, perhaps 9 holes with more parts

I've abondoned this idea. I've spent hours trying to get something that looks decent, but have had no luck.

Rap music is being listened to by 97% of teenagers, if you're one of the 3% of teenagers that actually listen to real music, then put this in your signature.
