What would fail most is somehow finding a way to win both of the last two games, and somehow losing out on the #1 pick overall. (which they'd only botch anyway) That would be epic, and very Lion-esque.

But are there any wideouts supposed to go high-but-not-that-high this year? Not sure they'd even know what to do with the #1.

Crabtree is a sophmore... you think he's going to the NFL?

Which is why I said they'd botch it. If there's an injured linebacker with a history of legal problems, and a very bad attitude, then that's probably who they'll take first. Or maybe an Ivy League quarterback no one has ever heard of. Whoever they take, I project them to not pan out, until Detroit cuts/trades them. And even then, they'll prolly still be a bust. (Joey Blue Skies, anyone?)

Maybe they'll trade their #1 draft pick to the Patriots for an extremely shiny rock.

The Lions are the first NFL team to achieve 0-15.

As far back as training camp in the summer, we knew that this group was different...that they were somehow special...and that they were destined to give us a magical run. Congratulations, Detroit!!! You are now 0-15 and are one loss away from making this season one we'll tell our grandchildren about.

New Orleans - 42
Detroit - 7

Green Bay......we all turn to you to close this thing out.

Green Bay seems like just the sort of team to ruin everything and choke. Don't blow this for us!

I really feel like this is Detroit's to win or lose. Or rather, lose to win.

Let's go, Lions!

I have changed my mind. I can't stand the thought of the Lions going 0-16. We'll never shake that label. Even if we win the Super Bowl in 4 years ( ), they'll still talk about 0-16. Even if it's 40 years before they win the Super Bowl ( ), 0-16 will still be a story. Detroit doesn't need this. The fans don't need this.

But I did hear that William Clay Ford is bringing back the interim GM. What a brilliant move! =D> I love/hate this team.

LET'S GO RED WINGS!

I'll tell you too, Detroit is above all a football town. When the Wings, Tigers, and Pistons were bad, attendance really suffered. When Illitch first took over the Wings, they were giving away a free car, to try to get people to come to the games. Even now, they're having a hard time selling out the Joe. And the Wings are the reigning champions! But with the Lions, it's just different. This was the first year that they've not sold out a game at Ford Field. And you should hear our local talk radio, if they wanted to, they could do all Lions all the time. Which only makes it all that more sad. This city is just dying for a DECENT football team. And if we ever had a champion here? That would be legendary.

I'm getting fairly excited about all this. We are lucky to be alive to witness such an momentous event. It really is epic.

Detroit can do this. We've always been able to.

I have full faith in the capabilities of the Lions to pull this off.

If Detroit loses again next week maybe the NFL should give them an extra game to play just so that no one will ever be able to match their mark of 0-17.

Really, if this does happen the only way people would forget about it. Is if starting 2 years from now, so that there can be not talk about the juxtaposition of the 2 seasons, the Lions manage to go on a 5+ streak of perfect seasons (19-0).

Actually... no NFL team has ever gone 0-15... so they already have elite status.

You're right. If they do not reach dynasty status in 5 years they will never lose the title. Poor fellers.
