I work map of David Eddings comlete in Microsoft Paint and look wery good, look only pictures from books.

Surely. And the current versions of South America and Pangea maps were did in Paint and that little program, too. The good thing about having many objects in one image I can have using my simple skeletal maps. The learning curve of programs like Gimp is high, and I cant find many features I would like to use, or they just seem dont work well.
Yes, I use Paint. And Brazil map would be much better if I had input while I were designing it... The lack of input was the main problem, not using Paint. But I admit... Gimp is good to give the final touches.
